    Strike 3....

Hi rrvolare, the SSBC discs come with studs, if memory serves me correct there a bit longer then OEM. I don't have the part number on the spacers, I bought them at speed shop many years ago, I used the quarter inch thick ones. I checked Summit and Jegs website and can't find a 5x4" wheel...

    Strike 3....

Hi rrvolare, this is the same setup I put on my 68 cuda, like you I wanted to keep my SBP and also run the original 14" wheel covers, I used my original master cylinder, so I went with the W153 kit (I'm running power brakes) Keep in mind I didn't have my rims custom made to accommodate this...

$$ Cost on a disc brake change $$

Hi Rich, I converted the front brakes on my 68 Barracuda to discs and kept the sbp. I purchased a kit from Jegs made by SSBC part# W153 (this should be the same kit for your application), cost for this kit is not cheap, was eight hundred. Its bolts straight up to your existing spindles, the...

    What a bust...

Its the same when your at a car show walking through the vendors selling parts, if you find something you like, you need to buy it while its in your hands, if you come back later it will be gone.

    Wilwood brake conversion

I put the front disc brake conversion kit with the small bolt pattern setup from SSBC on my 68 Barracuda and I needed to put on wheel spacers, because the steel rims were rubbing the calipe a bit. I'm running 14" x 6" on the front, other then that the kit is perfectly fine.

How da hell do you pull off the hub from drum!

You can't just pound the hell out of the front drums, otherwise you risk cracking the hub. Unfortunately alot of new drums require the existing hubs to be transfered across. Hi 67 Baccaruda, I'm now curious since your car would be the same as my 68 Barracuda, which kit did you purchase from SSBC? The one with the cast iron calipers or the kit with the aluminum ones. The pistons in the cast iron setup are smaller which should make for a smaller caliper then the...
