    1967 formula S convertible production

The 1967 record still exist. You can get a copy of the IBM car for your car, but cannot get all of them. There were 457 1967 GTS' built with an unknown number of convertibles (assumed by some experts at less than 20). There were 1,784 383 Barracudas in 1967. Convertibles were 6.8% of total...

    Show us your Convertible Dart's

We're good. A lot of life has happened since we bought the '67, but this is the year I will finally have time for it, after I get my son's 440 running in his Dart convertible. Right now just waiting for a bit more of a cool down...Plus we have all the parts for all the cars...

    Show us your Convertible Dart's

That's pretty much where I'm at with my Barracuda convertible. Bought in Sept 2006, tore down in Dec 2007. Still not done, but getting there.

Help decoding the fender tag on my LP27D7

Rallye package code was 357 in 1967 (368 in 1966). According to my OLD code book it seems like it is not on the fender tag. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this info, though.

Help decoding the fender tag on my LP27D7

Not on an old car, but some time after we bought our 2020 Elantra I found out that not only did it not come with a spare, it didn't come with a jack. I did, however, come with a small air compressor. I bought a jack off ebay and bought a full-size spare wheel and tire. I thought it was a dumb idea.

Help decoding the fender tag on my LP27D7

My son's fender tag. Pretty basic convertible. 273 two barrel, gold exterior, black bench interior, 13" wheel, AM radio, drum brakes, heater, outside remote mirror. And, just for grin, my old '67 hardtop. 273 two barrel, gold exterior, black bucket/console interior, 13" wheels, AM radio, drum...

Help decoding the fender tag on my LP27D7

It has disc brakes. Does it have a factory sway bar? Might have the rallye package. I'll dig out my son's '67 convertible fender tag later.

    Seat covers

Yup, same problem. A towel laid across the seat while in the sun will help a bunch. We never bothered when we younger (and dumber), but may when we get the GTS done again, partly just to help things last longer.

Aftermarket shoulder belts for 68 barracuda convertible

From a safety standpoint in an accident these old cars are terrible compared to new cars with crumple zones, etc. Add to that the fact that it's a convertible with no roof protection. In my opinion, shoulder belts without a roll cage in an old convertible is like a band aid on a broken arm.

Aftermarket shoulder belts for 68 barracuda convertible

Shoulder belts were optional, even on convertibles as early as 1966. With that said, I wouldn't bother, especially in a convertible.

    Hydraulic pump pressure

$100 for the correct set. Might find 'em for less somewhere else. I've also got sets from late model convertibles in my stash. 1967-69 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible Tops and Convertible Top Parts

    New Project but No Experience

Don't discount any engine choice. We've built two 440 powered convertibles, but only one has been finished enough to drive. Determine what you want out of the car, performance wise, and go from there.

Attaching the tonneau cover to the rear seat upper

I remembered somebody looking, but couldn't remember where the thread was. Yes, I have an extra and yes, I know where it is...

Attaching the tonneau cover to the rear seat upper

There's a chance I have an extra, but it might be difficult to get to all the parts right now.

Fix for Cowl Shake and Body ?

Subframe connectors will help some, not just for drag racing and road racing. We never put them on the GTS convertible and likely never will, but you can tell a VERY noticeable difference in total stiffness between it and my son's '67 Dart convertible, even though the '67 has a 440 to add more...

Haven't got around to installing mine, either. Nor has my son on his Dart.

    Top of wheel well pad

Mine was never glued down. My GTS was mostly original in 1983 when we bought it. The well only hung there from the drip rail area.

    Top of wheel well pad

The only thing covering the wheelwell is the top well. There was nothing attached to the metal.

    Barracuda Convertible Cylinder Mounting

I have seen clear hydraulic fluid in the old cars that we have taken apart. My LeBaron convertibles had trans fluid.

Remove the mounting plate and everything will be loose. Top up or down really doesn't matter as I recall.

67 Dart CONVERTIBLE parts car (not mine)

There is also one with a few parts available in central California. Not much left, but there are a few things. That one looks a little pricey, too.

    Rear shoulder belts?

The factory shoulder belt option was for the front seats, not the back. Anything you do will be suspect from an engineering point of view, but with that said we are planning something similar for my son's Dart convertible. One of the things we need to go get is one of the bars that the car seat...

    Experiences with top from classicindustries?

Nobody is supplying the correct glass anyway. You can have your original glass put into a new rear curtain. That's the only way to get it correct.

    Experiences with top from classicindustries?

Classic is just a retailer. The best tops are Robbins. Kee tops are also decent. I'm not sure whether the convertible top guys make their own tops or not. We've got tops to buy some time this year. Not sure who we're going to use.
