I never understood the appeal to the Dart stripe either, while mine isn't all that stock I still had to go with a sorta oem style stripe. It was also fun to park it next to dad's Duster and watch people scratch their heads at a show.

Not always, my '69 lost the original engine/trans around '74 when it was parted out to a bare shell. Sadly it's engine went into Demon and got scattered/windowed.

Might be the batch you got or maybe I just got lucky? This engine is going on 2 years and still looks just as good today. It was hot tanked then just hit it with brake kleen and laid down 2 or 3 coats of paint.

Could you use a time-sert on it? If it's close to timing belt change interval may as well change the head, 2gn isn't that bad to work on minus the engine mount bracket.
