    If you can find an 8.25 diff from a 73 up A body it would be a good choice. More than adequate for a 273. It would most likely be BBP from a V-8 car.

    8 1/4 Rear End Bolt Pattern

    I believe 73-76 in A bodies, and were all 5 X 4.5 bolt pattern. A very adequate diff, unless a high horsepower application is used. These usually came in cars with front disc brakes.

    You didn't state six or V-8, they have different cases. Any cable operated transmission should work. You just need the correct cables for you application. 66 went to a lever operated trans. with slip yoke drive line.

    I sold a 8.75 from a 62 Dart. The guy that bought it, said he was going to put it in an A body. He said the 62-65 8.75's were narrower than the later B bodies.
