Rumors have it that the horse farm show may move to the spring. It didn't seem as busy in the swap area as I had hoped and Sunday was pretty slow. Most vendors left but the few times it rained Saturday afternoon probably discouraged some from staying. Getting them 6 months apart should help both.

Was looking forward to a good weekend of selling stuff, but backed out at the last minute due to weather conditions. Have to wait till next year.

Easier said than done. More overhead than most "average" vendors/sellers can afford. I use to sell at the Turkey Rod Run for years, but swap meet spots got too high to make it worthwhile, and I'm local! Even several years ago, I don't recall there being more than a few Mopar-only sellers there.

BTT - I'll be at the Garlits show selling again. Wish I could bring more "big" stuff.

It's been a long time since I've heard Marvin Hughes' name. Mopars in general and Hemis in particular come to mind. I hope he's still with us, but it has been a long time.

lol I need to quit writing in all caps and make the dot on the "i" very obvious. But they would get it wrong anyway. Many people recognize me by the car name, so that works for me.

During the driver's meeting, the track manager did say that they will try to find a better race date and hopefully get Mopar and/or other sponsors involved.

Anybody know of any event photos posted online? Yes, it was brutally hot! Got semis and enjoyed meeting old & new friends. Looking forward to a better event with a different, weather friendly date and hopefully more sponsor support.

There hasn't been much going on in the last year and a half. It's never easy and I might be a little rusty!

I plan to be there racing, but also bring some stuff to sell. List of what I have will be on a bulletin board in my pit, but I'll try to post some stuff in the ad section here ahead of time so if anyone is interested, I can make it a point to bring it. Only have so much room in the truck & trailer.

As noted, the weather threat discouraged some people. Manager said they are working on getting some sponsors and Mopar personalities to help boost the numbers all around - race, show, swap meet and spectators.

Sorry, all I know is what they have posted. Attendance was declining before they passed on it last year. I'm hoping that it can be brought back up this time around, which is why I posted the info. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, I'll be there either with my Dart or Aspen Wagon.

I'll be there racing with the Southern Stock/Super Stock Association. Unfortunately I can't hot lap the car trying to run the Pro class too. But I'll try to keep the Brand X's out of the winner's circle. Will bring a few parts and advertise on a bulletin board while I'm racing.
