    CHAMPION PLUG HEAT RANGES

If I remember correctly, Champion plugs with a "C" on the end (i.e.: N-10YC - more search options) were an upgrade from the originals and had a copper core, or something like that.

    CHAMPION PLUG HEAT RANGES

As mentioned about Champion plugs, lower # = lower heat range. Some other brands follow that pattern while others are lower # = higher heat range. Gotta check your brand. FWIW N9Y were originally for high compression 340s and N10Y were for 426 Hemis. (I believe Champion 61 & lower were...

    New in Box

Back in the '70's or early '80's I had a Direct Connection high compression 360 piston that I ordered through a car dealer with the pin angled even worse than that! They did replace it.

    Super Stock leaf springs

A couple of photos from different angles will provide a clearer answer but it still looks like the OEM "box" that the rear shackle mount is normally bolted has been cut out. It appears the shackle mount is bolted to a body crossmember that is a few inches further back than it was originally. If...

    Super Stock leaf springs

Are the rear shackle brackets bolted on (OEM) or welded in? It kinda looks like the rear brackets are too far back, as if the OEM boxed area was cut out. In my OEM application, I installed 3/4" spacers to move the...

    Open Full Deck Trailer Length

I don't recall how long the deck is on my old, heavy, -channel open trailer at the moment because it's stored elsewhere. But I did haul a Challenger and Dart Sport on it for many years. I believe the rear bumpers overhung the back by a foot or two and there was exposed deck up front to walk...

    Quarter Stick Install

Not sure if there is a "best" place for the cable hole, but minimizing the curves in the cable is most important. I don't have my Dart Sport at home to check the distance, but it's not very far in front considering the angle the cable comes out of the shifter at. I did have issues trying to keep...

    Reducing the Beak?

Dodge & Plymouth A-body fenders are different. Dodge wheel opening sweeps back behind the tire while Plymouth is more "squarish", for lack of a better term at the moment. Headlight bezel area is different too. Scamp is the same as Duster, year-to-year.

'75 vs '76 Dart Sport Factory Service Manual

I believe they had a small change in the seatbelt design and 1976 was the only year for the Dart Lite option which had some unique components in the body, /6 engine, 4 speed OD trans & exhaust.

    did 3418815 heads

I've seen some slightly inconsistent info but I believe they transitioned from 2531894 heads to 3418915 in or around 1970-'71 so certain ones did have 2.02" intakes for 340s while staying with 1.88" for 360 applications. Casting dates can provide more clues. As Mike pointed out, 915 heads were...

It's my understanding that '73 doors on A-bodies are unique internally. Mechanical and glass parts won't interchange. A "loaded" '74+ door could be an option. I'm sure there will be me others more familiar with the situation.

Age is a big factor. I had a "brand new" 16" trailer radial on a spare wheel that was stored inside a trailer or in a garage for about 6-7 years and it looked perfect. 727 and 904 have the same gear ratios (2.45 low) up to late '70's or early '80's. then the 904 was available with a 2.74 low gear. That's also around the time when they started using lock-up converters. The lower first gear tends to help acceleration in lower HP/torque and heavier vehicles...

    Windage tray

I would think so, but I'd check for any interference with the rotating assembly to make sure there weren't any changes in the "curve" of the tray. I don't know if any additional changes were necessary to accommodate the extra stroke of the 360.

    Windage tray

I believe the original 340 trays will not because they have "round" holes to secure them to the special main cap bolts. Later windage trays, Direct Connection or later OEM were made with elongated holes to fit the 340 main cap bolt spacing as well as the wider 360 main cap bolt spacing. I...
