The one I have has been repaired several times, I am definitely ready for something with the pins all in their original unmolested condition.

They are rare but they do pop up on eBay every now and then. Be prepared to part with several Ben Franklins though.

I did the lights in my rallye dash with the LEDs. They are polarity protected and can be bought in a variety of colors. As mentioned there are blue lenses on the dash already so that`s something to take into consideration when choosing a bulb color. I just chose white and kept the blue lenses...

If you`re not looking for an exact factory replacement, Hurst made a Competition Plus shifter for the early A-body cars that will work in the 67-69 cars with consoles. They show up on Ebay occasionally and are a fraction of the price of the factory levers.

Those shifters are quite rare and therefore expensive. You might try Brewers Performance for either an original or a reproduction.

A lot of the originals are rusted, repros can be found at places like autobodyspecialties and yearone. As Jeff said, AMD might have them too.

I`ve seen those reproduced somewhere? AMD maybe? Hopefully someone will chime in here and verify or disprove that assumption.

Absolutely, new 1/4`s would more than pay for themselves. I believe you would see 25-50% more value out of the car.

Spools are for straight line driving on dry roads only. Running a spool on the street is a good way to break axles, destroy tires, and lose control on wet roads. I would avoid using a spool on the street, it`s just the wrong application and a bad idea.
