Show Us Pictures of 2nd Generation Barracudas

I will take a look, I know there are a few of him in front of the house laying down the rubber. That car actually has a stroker kit in it making it a 408. The heads are steel and have 2.02 valves. Edelbrock intake, Harland Sharpd roller rockers, electronic ignition, Doug? headers. The body is...

This is Fishman's `69. I'm sorry he's not with us any more. His wife called me about the car and asked if I could help her sell it.

Bumpers- buy new or re-chrome mine?

I've found that most of the repro parts are not near as good as a well done rechrome of the original parts. I always spend a little more to keep the old parts when possible.

The passing of our friend Bruce

He's probably twisting wrenches with Fishman in that big Mopar garage in the sky. My condolences to his family and friends.

    RIP Dodge Dakota 1987-2011

I hate to see it go, I bought a `03 new with the 4.7 (yes I wanted the hemi too) and used it a lot for the first couple years. After that I hardly ever drove it. I ended up selling it just a few years ago with just 17K on it.

    Seven year itch

Well, I've owned my Barracuda about 7 years now (more like 8 actually but 7 sounds better :D) and I'm thinking of selling it to start on something new. Perhaps another convertible. I'm not sure what to do but I thinking something new might rekindle my fire to restore another. Anybody else...

    Dual Point Distributor worth anything?

Last dual point I sold on eBay was from a 68 340 auto. It was a cast iron Prestolite and brought about 125 dollars IIRC. This was about 2 years ago.

273 Start Up after one year

You can prime the pump with a distributor drive gear end attached to a drill. Rotate the engine while you do so and when you pass the oil passages for the rockers oil will show up through the shafts. Or you can just change the oil and filter. Fill the filter with oil first and pour the rest in...

    68-69 Dart guys! Bumpers!

Where were those guys three years ago when I needed them? I too spent good money when I had mine restored at Tri-City. They did do an amazing job and I saved shipping by picking them up at Carlisle. I'm glad to see AMD getting more and more metal on the market for these cars. Do you know if...

Massive car **** from our local cruise in

I heard of the cruise-in but failed to make it. Looks like a decent turn out. Ed Miller's car is always a joy to see and hear.:love7: I may not be doing many more cruise-ins, we've been looking at property in Gloucester and although I'm reluctant to let her go, the Barracuda may have to be sold...

    Desert Car Kings

I see the broken glass incident and "we must have this done by...." as ways of creating some drama in what would otherwise be a boring show. This is just part of Hollywoods attempt to get your heart beat going a little bit. Given a choice I'd rather watch DCK than the shows my girlfriend watches...

    FINALLY, got it home!

The 489 case started showing up in `69 and was pretty much phased in by 1970. The 741 case continued to show up as well. If the unit is original you should have a tag on one of the carrier bolts that identifies it as a sure-grip unit and another that gives you the gear ratio. Again, nice find!
