I wouldn't doubt that, it seems that when the color changes occured many of the new model year were wearing last years colors. I think Chrysler probably used up the rest of the old paint or installed engines that were already painted with the previous model year's color.

For the most part 68 was red, 69, torquoise, 70 red, torquoise, orange, and whatever, 71-73 blue. The model years will have some lapse in colors.

Yes if you're not ready for a lot of work and a certain shortage of original parts then you would be better off selling the car. If you wanted to return it to factory specs then parts like the exhaust manifolds, oil pan, and air cleaner, would have to be located and they are few and far between...

Suspension rebuilds have always been a PITA for me. Removing rusted ball joints and replacing control arm bushings have been major work on every car I`ve rebuilt.
