    1969 340-s engine block color.

I wouldn't doubt that, it seems that when the color changes occured many of the new model year were wearing last years colors. I think Chrysler probably used up the rest of the old paint or installed engines that were already painted with the previous model year's color.

    1969 340-s engine block color.

For the most part 68 was red, 69, torquoise, 70 red, torquoise, orange, and whatever, 71-73 blue. The model years will have some lapse in colors.

To Restore or Not to Restore

If you're trying to restore it as an investment then the way to go is to make sure everything is correct and documented. The money in resale is primarily for the most unadulterated documented cars. Big block cars should have all of the "big block specific" parts including the correct exhaust...

Yes if you're not ready for a lot of work and a certain shortage of original parts then you would be better off selling the car. If you wanted to return it to factory specs then parts like the exhaust manifolds, oil pan, and air cleaner, would have to be located and they are few and far between...

    '69 Dart - Window removal

Yeah it sounds like you've got it all loose with the exception of the allen screw that homecloned is referring to. There's usually a small rubber plug in the upper door that covers access to the screw. You don't have to remove the screw, just loosen it. There's also a nut in the front of the...

Whats the hardest job when you are restoring a car

Suspension rebuilds have always been a PITA for me. Removing rusted ball joints and replacing control arm bushings have been major work on every car I`ve rebuilt.

You can. If you don`t have enough vacuum you can buy a pump to assist.

    1969 Dodge Dart GTS

You`re doing the right thing by removing the original 340 and setting it aside. The real value of the car will only be maintained by keeping all of the original matching numbers drivetrain together. You may never sell the car but it`s always better to prepare for the day you might. The only...

    Your 340 exhaust tipsss

I found that if you use the factory hangers (bolted to the proper place on the frame rail) and the tips are factory size/specs you can slide them in until they bottom out which leaves about an inch protruding beyond the bumper. When I restored my 68 GTS I found NOS tailpipes for it and they fit...
