    Which cam to use?

IMHO, the Lunati 60403 cam is a real good combo for what you're wanting to accomplish, given the parts you want to use. Couple that with the fact that your wife will be driving it too (no disrespect intended, some ladies just don't like as much rumble as we men do), i believe that you will like...

    Getting a backfire

Just to add to what the others have said, since your Dart has set for a period of time it is possible that your distributor cap has moisture inside it.

    Cam Question

Quote - "Would this cam be too much for a 360 with stock compression and J heads?" Yes, sticking with a XE 262 or XE 268 is a better choice.

    Cam specs @ .050

Being a current hydraulic lifter / cam user, I never really thought a lot about lift or duration years ago when running solid cams, we just put in what everybody else was using, set the lash and off we would go. So here is my question,,,, Is a solid lifter cam (non-hydraulic) with rated lift...

    MP .474 purple cam

Redfastback is correct. The increased rocker ratio just creates a higher lift. The duration figure that is ground on the cam stays as is. The valve still opens and closes at the same degree on the cam.

    Lunati Cams

Hi guys, looking for some insight here. In reading through the past post, I see a lot of reference to the Lunati Voodoo cams. Being an old schooler that is getting back up to speed, I always likes to learn new things. I would like to hear your options on Lunati verses the Comp XE-274 that i...

Who makes the Summit "Air Gap"?

Thanks for all the input guys. Since it came on my 360, I'll use it for now. I need to build up an 8 3/4 before I buy a new intake. Steve

How much CFM for a 360?

dcg333, Thanks for the advice / experience. I think I'll take a good look at the 670 Street Avenger. In reading up on the Speed Demon, I really liked some of the extra features that it has. However if it won't tune up and run right then the "extras" are of no use. :( Thanks again to...

How much CFM for a 360?

Thanks guys for all the great input! O:) Due to the fact that my current Edelbrock 600 doesn't have a choke setup on it (previous owner took it out), I have been leaning toward a 650 Speed Demon. Starting up that XE-274 cammed 360 in cold weather without a choke is a pain! Any thoughts on the...

How much CFM for a 360?

Hello everyone, O:) Long time reader, new member. I purchased a motor from a buddy of mine a while back with less than 500 miles on a new build. It is a 360 +.030 with approx 9.8:1 compression, Comp XE-274 cam, air gap intake, Hooker headers. It currently has a 600 CFM Edelbrock that runs...
