    I would try and I say try cause it might not work. Stick it in a Vise with the part you want to bend out of the vise. Find a cheater tube about 3 feel long or so, stick it over it and see if you can bend it like that. If not out comes the heat.

    You don't need no stinking Line Lock. Rev it up to 7K and side step the clutch. The car will not move more than 1".........Start speed shifting through 2-3-4 while your standing still!:burnout:

    Mine went in and bottomed out, sticking out some. It don't bother nothing though. We are talking 4spd here! There is plenty of room in there to stick out, no big deal. Both ends were tapered and it seems that yours is also!

    Brewer's swears it will take whatever you throw at it until 3rd gear has had enough of bank shifting..............that is the weak link! But hey you drive them hard something is going to break eventually.............no doubt!

    I use white lithium grease and just dip the whole ball in it put the nylon parts on then lube that up real good and put it in the shaft.

    Ok, Last night I took the shifter boot off and squirted some WD-40 on the shift mechanism......What a difference that made! So I know now that the shifter is ok and just needs to be lubed up. I will take it apart this weekend and use some White Lithium Grease to lube it all up. I think this...

    I have done everything that you have recommended. The Tabs are snug as a bug also! Nothing is binding. I got the system down now how to get it out of reverse and into forward gears, it is just a PITA two handed process! I think I am going to just spring for a new shifter. Do any of you guys...

    Yes it shifts SMOOTH as Silk with the rods off the trans. It has to be the shifter mechanism.......does the bolt and adjusting nut do anything to fix this problem?? You know the one on the front of the shifter mechanism?

    Ok, I have lined up all the pin holes at the bottom of the shifter and ALL the rods have been put on correct with trans in neutral. The issue I am having is that when I go into Reverse and then try and go to neutral to grab 1st gear it binds up. With some serious wiggling and kind of Pulling up...
