    Mopar Action subscription

I thought they were the last Mopar magazine period. Any others still out there?

Anyone remember these vintage traction bars ?

If you think about it, the pinion snubber is just a single center-mount slapper bar. Chrysler leaf springs have significantly less axle twist than the symmetric leaf springs used on Brand X cars, but it's not zero either. I've thought about making a set of slapper bars lined up specifically to...

can anyone help me get an extra 200 hp out of my stock 340 what parts do i need to change or what never can get anyone that i talk to with a straight

There are lots of different paths; the main questions are how much money and ruthlessness you're bringing to the party. My own personal preference would be ported heads, mild cam that's just a little more aggressive than stock, fuel injection, and a GT45 or similar sized turbo. Not the cheapest...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

This weekend? Put in another exhaust hanger, and that managed to get rid of a rattling sound that would surface when stopped but not moving. Next, need to locate where that gas smell is coming from and make sure I'm not leaking fuel.

    Poly- urethane motor mounts"?

Using Polybushings.com mounts on my Dart. The exhaust rattles when sitting at a stop, but I think that's mostly something I need more exhaust mounting points to fix. Other than that, it's fairly smooth.

    MSD yay or nay

The link isn't working. The one time I did some work with a plasma ignition - the company who built it shall remain nameless as this was a prototype and perhaps they've improved - it was like setting off an EMP bomb in the dyno cell. We had to rewire the chassis dyno RPM pickup so the ignition...

    IS THIS A LEGIT WEBSITE??

The trouble with Amazon is that if they have several resellers shipping and selling what they pinky-swear are the same item using the Fulfilled by Amazon service, Amazon will take their word that the items are all the same and group them together without paying attention to what seller sent them...

    MSD yay or nay

Currently have an analog 6A on my Dart. If it dies, it's getting swapped for a crank fired coil on plug system.

    Your first car upgrades? (Electrical/Mechanical)

Depends on what the car needs - for my Dart, the first work was rebuilding the carburetor, followed by reupholstering the interior.

    Super Six kickdown linkage????

Many people going Super Six use a Lokar kickdown that sells for around $50 as you often need to bend the kickdown rod to clear an A-body firewall. So I'd price it a bit below that.

Magnetic Motors - The end of gasoline?

We've already got electric motors that are over 90% efficient, so there isn't much room for improvement there even if these are more efficient. The trouble with electric cars is with the batteries. The maglev trains and electromagnetic roller coasters need electric power to drive them, just...

Magnetic Motors - The end of gasoline?

I had a roommate in college who was obsessed with building a magnetic motor. But from the article it doesn't seem like anything more than a fairly efficient version of an electric motor.

    Your First Car??

That would be my 1966 Dodge Dart... got it in 1996. I had looked at how much money I could save up or talk my parents into spending, and saw that it was only enough to buy an old beater. And I figured a 30 year old Dodge Dart would be a lot cooler than a 15 year old Toyota Corolla. I don't...

trying to find a manual for 68 Dart 318

The Year One reprints of the FSM are pretty good quality. That's what I use on my Dart. For cars where I'm serious about maintenance, I always get the factory service manual.

    A-Body Dana 60

Quite a deal. I paid almost that much for a 8 3/4 last year for my Dart.

Strangest thing found in your A body???

My Dart had a deck of playing cards about as old as it was, an ant colony in the passenger side floorboard, and a bunch of dried chilis in it everywhere. Previous owner had been using it as a shed.

Huh. There's a John Deere Aspen that cruises the streets of Conyers, Georgia.

    Disc Brake swap-A body Rotors

"SEMA Approved" might just mean they've paid up their membership dues in full. That said, a lot of Corvette guys are running adapters now, but in their case they're deliberately trying to move the wheels out about an inch to deal with putting wheels of the wrong offset on their cars. I haven't...

    Disc Brake swap-A body Rotors

I've never seen dual pattern 4" / 4.5" wheels except for front wheel drive cars, which usually have the wrong offset for an A-body. The ones I've seen in the right offset are always 4.5" / 4.75". You might want to email Center Line and see if they're willing to make them in the dual pattern size...
