Sunvisors and headliner: 1960 Valiant 200

I used later model Ford Falcon sun visors for mine. This is the start of a hard headlining I made for mine. I slightly moved the mounting point forward to have some metal to mount to.

    1960-1962 Valiant/Lancer thread

Here's a couple of shots of my efforts. Won't be much Valiant left by the time it's finished! Quad cam V6 and O/D auto, 4 wheel disc's, LSD Ford diff, A/C, power windows, power R&P steering custom interior. Well it was just a rolling shell when I bought it! Marty

    1960-1962 Valiant/Lancer thread

I think this would be the right thread to through this one in! A club member here in OZ has a 62 4 door with some extra trim pieces. I've only seen a few cars with them and reading on line they appear to have been for the Mexican market. Anybody have any ideas? I'm sure Slantsixdan will know if...

    Awesome '65 Valiant/Barracuda hardtop wagon

I'd build either if I wasn't in the middle of my 62 sedan build!

    Awesome '65 Valiant/Barracuda hardtop wagon

very cool wagon, only thing I've seen that I liked more was the 1962 sedan delivery, that's my biased choice!

Stolen 1962 Dodge Lancer Station Wagon DFW Texas

I never thought I would be reading this but what a result!! The boys from Ramsey's deserve a medal, goes to show there are still good people out there, just doesn't seem like it at times! I'm so happy for you. Do you have a thread on your rebuild so we can follow your progress from here...

    Valiant Sedan Delivery

Found some more shots of this delivery van. Have a look at the swage lines through the centre of the roof and the shape of the edge of the roof above the gutter, totally diferent to sedan. I'm now conviced these are wagon based not sedan. I couldn't see anyboby makeing a new roof, tail gate etc...

    Valiant Sedan Delivery

I see what you're saying about the drip rail but looking at the back of the roof and the shape of the tail gate, I still think they are made from a wagon! It would be less work to change the drip rail than make a tail gate then make a wagon style roof including the overhang above the tail gate...

    3.0 engine swap

Yeah had bit of a ribbing about it but Mopar parts are big dollars here and fuel is over $6 a gallon so the little V6 makes sence. Standard they produce just on 270hp and with good exhaust cold air intake and remapping 300hp will still give 30mpg on the highway. Here's a few photo's of the...

    3.0 engine swap

OK I think this worked this time! Can't find my other pictures if the trial fit up but this will give you the idea. I was going to use the older GM supercharged engine but the rego guys said it was 41cc's to large!! So I'm going to use the quad cam engine and being 3.6Lt instead of the older...

    3.0 engine swap

I purchased a 62 Plymouth Valiant as a rolling shell and yes it had been for sale for years and would have ended up at the crusher. I have opted for a non Mopar engine swap that will offend some but the practicality of it was the appeal, a 3.6Lt V6 with 5 speed auto. While it's a GM product it...

    Valiant Sedan Delivery

This is the Ford Panel van of the same era. The Mad Max van is a General Motors offering. The Ford had 250 cu six, 302cu V8 and 351 V8 options while the Holden had 202 cu six, 253 V8 and 308 V8 option. The Chrysler offered 245 and 265 cu sixes and 318 V8 options, there may have been the odd 340...

    Valiant Sedan Delivery

This concept is giving me ideas! I'm building a 1962 Valiant and want a different concept so I've been online looking for all I could find out about the sedan delivery. Looking on www.flickr.com they look more like they were more a delivery wagon than sedan! Looking at the original wagons on...
