I'll put it over there. I will be looking for another mopar, but not until I finish the part out on my twin turbo mustang. a 67 Dart with a warmed up small block has the look I'm going for with the next cruiser. turbos and 4 digit rwhp will be the next build though.

Latest Pics. I think this is where I'm going to stop. I've listed it for sale in some of the local places. It's been fun and I've learned a tremendous amount from it, but it's time to move on to another project.

I've noticed that. The "willing to help out" community here is top notch. I started my car hobby working on imports and that community is full of mostly younger guys who think they know it all, but don't really have a clue for the most part. Then I ended up with a mustang. Much more knowledge...

Thanks :glasses7: The flames were a hard choice, but they were just too cool for me.

Not even gonna try to get into how many trips to the auto parts store and sourcing parts online this took me. 17x8 with 245/45 rubber Wheels were stockers off my 2003 mustang.

Mocked up wheels last night. The rear is going to require a spacer and the front required a little machine work on the wheels to clear the rotor. Ordering 255/50-17 all the way around today.

It's base and clear. I talked with him about it. It's likely about as good as its going to be until its repainted. The prep work was absolute junk and the paint and clear were done with the same care. For it to look as good as it does with a detail I'm satisfied. It moves repaint from top 5 on...

No, but cops usually don't hassle you around here unless they need a reason to check you out. Mid 30s white guy driving a classic car gets a pass more often than not. I had a tint exemption for a while and never renewed it for lack of need. The tint on the windshield helps me drive at night by...

Just made it back from Cruisin' the Coast. The Duster performed flawlessly. It was cool not seeing 100 other cars like the one I was driving like the Chevelle guys. I only saw 2 other Dusters. One was gold with the Twister graphics package. I'm not sure if the owner is a member or not though...

Installed the grill at lunch. It needs some minor adjustment, but overall I'm pleased.

If they are Katrina flood cars it will either be very obvious or it was well restored. The sludge in the flood water pretty much ate all the cars I've seen that went under. My buddy lost a classic vette that he is in the process of restoring. Anything that he had used POR-15 on came out fine...

And the detailer is making progress with the wet sanding while this is going on. Final detail should be finished mid next week.

Finished all the prep last night. It wasn't too bad. First I sprayed the grill down with simple green and used a soft bristle brush to loosen all the dirt before spraying it down with the hose. Then I opened up all the cracks with a dremel and used a wet paper towel to wipe away all the dust...

Removed the grill yesterday and started the restoration process. The grill had a few cracks and one of the fins was broken as you can see in the earlier pics. I opened up the cracks with a dremel last night and will be filling and sanding tonight. Primer and paint will come after that and...

Well, the car has been receiving some much needed paint restoration over the last few days. From 20' it looked decent, but up close it looked like someone had been rubbing it with steel wool. Plus the quality of the paint job wasn't that great with runs in the clear, over spray, and other...

Daytime pics. New wheels, stance, and a detail to come. I took the scoop off so the hood could be polished. Not sure if it's going back on.

I think so. It has the chrome trim on the 1/4 that would have been there for the vinyl top. I was going to remove it, but whoever painted the car didn't remove it when they painted so it's on there until I get around to repainting it.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm looking forward to being part of such a friendly community. I've been on the fence about if I should go with the air gap or just the standard issue performer. Stock 318 tells me the performer would be better since it'll give a little more grunt off the...

I've been holding off on making my intro thread until I had better pictures of the car, but I need a quick break at work and FABO is a good solution. I recently sold my last project and have been looking around for something to fill the slot in the garage. This 1972 Duster came across...
