    73-76 Dart/Duster Sail Panel conversion

I don't know the answer to your question, but I believe I have extra sail panels for a 1973 Dart Sport if you think they fit.

    Bolt spacers

I went to a local steel company and bought the metal for fabricating my cross member and also some tube steel to strengthen the area the bolts went through. It was cheap and I just cut it to fit.

The Need For Speed Never Ends

Pretty freaking cool. Nice to be able to follow your old car around and see how it has transformed.

One of you needs this, not mine, C/L............

Is anyone else "touchy" about their Mopar? (long rant...)

I have a built 408 stroker, a Dana 60, 4 wheel disc, suspension mods, etc... That transmission is the best money I've spent. I was 4000 rpm at 70 mph before, now I'm 3000 rpm at 80 mph. I beat this tranny up. I do rolling burnouts, regular burnouts, street racing and track racing. It's a trooper...

Is anyone else "touchy" about their Mopar? (long rant...)

My engine and tranny and rear end took all my money. I need body work, but it's not bad. I still hear that stuff. One guy was drooling at my car. "I love the motor! 408 stroker?! The interior is awesome! I love the hood scoop! What tranny are you running?" " I have a GM 200 4R overdrive. " He...

Didn't ask you to fix my car. I asked a specific question, which you apparently didn't understand. Maybe if they let us type with crayons I could make it easier for you.

The OP has been driving Mopars for 40 years. He always kept one in his glove box because it was so common.

C'mon. You guys are Mopar guys. What is the most common reason for a Mopar to crank but not start? You all know what it is. ,

I was on another forum earlier. I was disagreeing with another person and thought I'd just throw this question out there and see if I'm correct. I had a no start condition on an old, long sitting Mopar. The question is this. A friend says his early 70's Mopar turns over but won't fire. You have...

    74 Dart. Headers vs manifold.

Your mileage will go down because you are going to hit the gas harder to hear the cool sounding exhaust. They adds 50 audio horsepower. Headers are more trouble than they are worth unless you've built your engine. A stock daily driver is just fine with stock manifolds.

Caravan 3.8l. How did this piston crack?

Bought a piston, rod and bearing assembly from Chrysler. The original piston, the one that failed, had 166,000 miles on it. Rod length wasn't the issue.

Yes front bank middle piston. Runs great now.

Caravan 3.8l. How did this piston crack?

Got it out, replaced one piston. The connecting rod cap is attached to the rod in such a way you have to loosen the cap bolts and use an exhaust pipe expander to break the cap and connecting rod apart. Runs good now.

Caravan 3.8l. How did this piston crack?

I can get pics. The valves are perfect. The plug threads broke off in the head, but all pieces were attached to the plug. that is not a reflection, it is two round holes dented in the piston at the edge of the crack.

Caravan 3.8l. How did this piston crack?

I see two round holes right next to the crack. The last time i saw that a piece of something was bouncing around in the chamber. This is how it looked upon head removal. No cleaning.

Caravan 3.8l. How did this piston crack?

Any ideas? It came in ses light flashing and running poorly. Misfire on this cylinder. The spark plug wouldn't come out. We warned the customer and proceeded to try and remove it. It broke off in the head. We pulled the head and saw the piston was cracked. And the broken piece is definitely...

    Minivan Ghost window

You probably have a pinch mode on the car. If there is too much pressure, the window stops so kids don't pinch off their little fingers in the car windows. You lubed it up and the pressure is now less and it no longer thinks it's involved in a pinch situation.

This showed up on my porch like this today

Most Mopars don't do well with air shocks. Can't hurt to try. They aren't hard to put on or take off. Just do NOT use them to gain clearance for large tires. If the shock blows and you drop on the tire you will regret it.

Had SRT8 at the track - hoped for better

They sprayed across the whole lane, you couldn't go around. That's why I did the burnout box. I was going to skip both, but they left me no choice.

Had SRT8 at the track - hoped for better

I don't plan on making it a street machine, and I probably wouldn't have taken it to the track, but I needed something to drive there. I'm pretty much done with the SRT8 as far as speed mods, but I hope to get the transmission gone through and a new converter in my Dart for the next race.

Had SRT8 at the track - hoped for better

My Dart is down so I took my 2006 300C SRT8 to the track on Sunday. It's stock except for a cold air intake and a Predator performance tune. On the street I can spin the tires if I power brake it. My first run I spun in first, so I hit 2nd and spun again. Then I accidentally slapped it forward...
