    Best electric cutouts?

Not really sure I want to go used, but how much do you want for them?

    Best electric cutouts?

That wasn't my question. I have three inch exhaust, H pipe going through Flowmaster 40's. I want to open it up when I want. Speed of opening doesn't matter.

    Best electric cutouts?

I asked this question years ago and never pulled the trigger. DMH was supposed to be good at the time, but they are apparently out of business or just not answering calls or emails. The new motor is going in on Sunday and I'm thinking I'm going to pull the trigger on the cutouts. I probably...

    Big block header identification.

Maybe. They look like long tube truck headers though. Maybe it's the close up and out of the vehicle that makes it look like that, but I don't remember my tubes being that long. Also, you don't say what motor, tranny, etc. What did they come off of? You must have had some idea before you bought...

Where to get TTI Headers Recoated?

My TTi headers were $811 plus shipping. They still look new 7 years later. I was going to mention trying CudaChick1968, but someone beat me to it.

DMH, QTP or RRP electric cutouts?

The issue as I see it is that these are welded in. When they fail, and at some point everything fails, you are cutting them out and replacing pipe. I would prefer bolt in flange style if I can do it.

Vacuum operated? I've not seen those. who makes them, and have they worked well for you?

DMH, QTP or RRP electric cutouts?

I have been leaning towards DMH. I have heard good things about them. I don't mind having another switch in the car. I have a pretty good breathing 408 with three inch exhaust, so I don't expect much of a gain in power, but I want the 100 audio horsepower the unholy noise will give me.

DMH, QTP or RRP electric cutouts?

Anyone had any experience? I know they all will rattle and leak a bit with time. That's the cost of running cutouts. I'm looking for real life experience, good or bad. What brand is the best?

    Header Help Please

I don't care what they say, if you close off half your exhaust flow, you don't breathe, and that will lower your power. You go to headers precisely for their increased flow in the first place. My TTi were custom ordered for my motor, heads, transmission and starter and I still had to tweak them...

    Header Help Please

I had to raise my motor about a half inch to clear the idler, and I do have $800 headers. The cost doesn't make them fit any better, but they give you other benefits. Mine also hit the steering shaft at the joint. Raising the motor fixed all my problems.

Which style header to use on w2 stroker

I use TTi under chassis headers on my stroker. Four plus years and they still look new and have never had a leak.

To run cutouts or not run cutouts, that is the question.

I'm only 53, but thankfully I'm already damn near deaf. I'm going to do it. I like the loud exhaust. I run a stroker and at WOT it's not as loud as you would think. My brother thinks I'm crazy to run cutouts, but I like the loud on occasion, and I can quiet it down if I want. I'm too old and fat...

To run cutouts or not run cutouts, that is the question.

I would take .2 extra. What brand did you install? That's the biggest question. I want a good, long lasting cutout for the best price available.

To run cutouts or not run cutouts, that is the question.

They aren't legal here in Minnesota. Neither is loud exhaust, street racing, bumpers over a certain height, etc.... It's all look the other way enforcement. If you piss off a cop, he will probably give you a ticket, but if you piss off a cop you probably deserve it.

360 Engine with TTI Header HELP!!!!!

Napa relocator kit. http://www.napaonline.com/napa/en/p/BK_7354713_0421658747 It shows out of stock online, but my local warehouse stocks one. Call a store and see how long it is to get it.

To run cutouts or not run cutouts, that is the question.

There seems to be the opinion that I would run them open all the time. If I was going to do that I would run open headers and be done with it. I would use them at the track and the occasional street race. And don't give me crap about street racing. We build these cars for a reason. Otherwise I...

360 Engine with TTI Header HELP!!!!!

That's worse than mine. Did you buy the headers direct from TTi? When I bought mine they asked what motor, what heads, what starter and what transmission. They fit for the most part. I had to do a little massaging to get them in place. Napa also has relocators that work well.

To run cutouts or not run cutouts, that is the question.

I am seriously considering running cutouts this year. I am thinking of the possible better power, and also the really cool sound I will get. I've researched a lot of brands and found most of them have bad reviews. I don't want to be replacing them all the time. I run a 408 stroker, around 500hp...

360 Engine with TTI Header HELP!!!!!

I run a Napa 1085 filter. I have a hell of a time getting it loose on the hoist, then lower the car, reach down from the top and remove the filter, drop the new filter down, lift the car and reach up from the bottom an install the filter. It's a PIA. You could install an oil filter relocator if...

    1972 Swinger exhaust nightmare

Huh. I run TTi and had no issues, buy you rarely hear anyone complain about Doug's either. I went to a local exhaust guy and he ran 3" rolled exhaust all the way back with an H pipe and Flowmaster 40's for $400. Beat the hell out of me cussing and swearing and trying to get a clean weld.

    d#$m TTI headers

Exactly. There are few if any stock manifolds that flow as well as a decent set of headers. I was thinking the same thing when I read his statement.

    d#$m TTI headers

I have had Hookers and TTi as well. The Hookers hung so low they scraped every dime on the road and I had no spark plug access without pulling the headers, which involved pulling the motor. The TTi are way better. I have plug access, but ....... I ordered the TTi directly from TTi. They asked my...

Changed the exhaust on my car for a complte TTI

Bigger tubes? Bigger tubes lead to less torque. I love my TTi headers. They talked me into their step headers when I was leaning toward the 2 1/8". they told me I wouldn't like the torque and at 500 hp I didn't need them that big. That was four years ago. I love my TTi and the ceramic coating is...

    76 dart 318 header suggestions

I had Hookers on my 73 Dart Sport 318. They hit every dime in the road and I couldn't access my rear spark plugs. When I went to a SB 408 stroker I switched to TTi. I have 5 1/2 inch clearance with 3" exhaust, they fit, and I can access my plugs. Three years later they still look good and sound...

Adding Catalytic Convertors to the Old Girl...

It won't stop the smell, and most carb running motors run rich enough to take out a cat in a very short time. You can buy stuff to put in your fuel to make it smell pretty, like cherry, bubble gum, etc. Expensive, but cool at a car show.

can any one tell me what kind of headers these are?

I need big block headers for my 440 Ramcharger. If these are big block truck headers I may be interested in buying them from you.
