Mag makes more power than the la, but the mag have issues with valve guides. However if you ever decide that you want Efi, the mag will be better in that dept. personally, i would use the maggie

Yes its better. Smaller= less weight I am curious though. Why are you going to put a 318 cam in the 360? Your power gain is gonna go out the window.
