    New Garage, lift Question

Dave, next time you are over, have a look at mine. I welded a plate and a hinge so it swings outward when I use it. When it is not in use, it swings back to the side and out of the way. Andrew

    Recommend Jack Stands

Nope, but that would suck. I went a 4 post hoist years ago.

    Recommend Jack Stands

I have used 2 sets of car ramps before. I jacked the car up and placed the rears in the normal drive on direction and turned the front one around backwards. This gave me enough room to do what I needed and felt safe. If you need more height you could always place something else under the ramps...

I like the spring loaded center punch, it's great for starting a Percise spot for drilling. Andrew

    cart

Looks good to me, I would consider doing it this way if and when I need to pull my motor again. Money well spent pulling a BB out of an A-Body with headers. Andrew

    Garage Heat?

I have the same one and bought it used for a couple hundred dollars off Kijiji. Heats my 2 car garage with 9' celings in the coldest days to 70 plus degrees. I put a decent celing fan in to help keep the heat lower to the ground. Mobile home or trailer furnace sounds interesting though. Andrew.

installed a lift in my garage

Ive had mine for a couple of years now. I have found things with the car that I would have never noticed until it was too late. I installed a high lift garaged door track so it opens up over the car. I also mounted the pump on a hinge to swing it out of the way when not in use. Mine is bolted to...

    Looking for a lift!!!

I have a 9' celing with my 4 post, and I can put my 68 dart and barely get my neon under it, but it fits. I had to extend the garage door track and put on a larger radius on it. I also had to remove the garage door opener (waiting for a jack post side mount opener). PS, if you buy a lift, the...

    Looking for a lift!!!

I have a 4 post and lagged it to the floor. The concrete PSI requirement for the 2 post that I looked at scared me off. My car is pretty complete, so I only use it for brakes, oil changes, storage etc. If was going to be pulling motors all the time, then the 2 post offers more flexibilty. PS, I...
