    That foil board would be ok, but you need to make sure that you Tuck tape all the seams, and caulk the edges. You should Tuck tape that door too. Nice job on the door, by the way. If you had any more crap in the rafters, you wouldn't need insulation :bootysha:

    you could just insulate between the roof trusses at the rafters. Or you could do like Scott says, but do the rafters, not the joists.

    The thermostat is just a switch. If you jump across the two contact screws, you won't hurt a thing. I did this with mine for a whole winter, just used my breaker as a switch. Stay warm Steve.

    Let's see your garage!

    I built this by myself, to save some dough. We wanted an old driving shed type of look. It's fully insulated, and heated, and I put the temp garage on the front in the winter, just for the snowblower, etc. It's 20x30, and still not big enough.:angry7:
