    Copper Clad Wire

If I am not supposed to, I have been doing it wrong for all these years without having problems. I might have been doing it wrong. I know that you not supposed use solid copper wire for automotive because it doesn't have the flex capabilities.

    Copper Clad Wire

Aluminum wire has its place in our daily lives but definitely not in automotive applications. Personally I like commercial grade multi-strand electrical wire like they use in conduit because the insulation is much better than what I can buy at the auto parts stores. If you know any...

    custom GM alt mount

All these ideas are great. I am generally a purist but it would be nice to do away with all the other components and be able to use a gm alternator.

Any electrical guru's know off hand what these are for?

What a mess and a fire waiting to happen. Get the factory manual that is specific for the year of your car because it will have the wiring diagrams for both the /6 as well as the V8. Personally I would probably end up buying complete under hood wiring harnesses before it was over. Here are two...

    Ground Strap vs. Ground Cable

My early to mid 2000s model Fords are still using ground straps. Personally I have only seen cables on imports but I don't work on that many newer cars either. I am talking about the ground strap between the engine and body.

    Ground Strap vs. Ground Cable

This is true. I have found several ground wires on later model imports badly frayed or broken where they were attached on the firewall which was messing with the computer.

Lol, I grew up when you bought a spool of plug wire or plug wire by the foot, boots and connectors so this is pretty old school for us poor boys. Them ready made wires were for the rich people.
