    Wheel and Tire Help

I'm more of a "big & little" guy, so i prefer a 6" wheel myself on A bodies. Especially with a 70 series tire.

    CRAGAR WHEEL RESTORATION?

Help me out yall... I some how have a faint memory that the early 4" S/S wheels had a smaller dia. center cap? If so, do you have them also? Could be hard to find.

Et street radials on a 4 speed ?

Are you street driving or hauling the car to Mason/75-80? With street use involved, I'd probably do the ET street your thinking of. If you're trailering to the track, a bias ply with tube is the way I'd go... Not sure what size you're dealing with? Unless you're running a small tire that needs...

    Small bolt pattern wheels

I believe a few of these will work...depends on what style/size you're really after? If these don't work for what you want, you may have to keep searching the used market...

    Front wheel tire size Q

Trying to make 7" fronts look like "little's" is tough. I've run 195's on 6" rims before that were satisfactory, but I don't know how they would look on 7's?

1972 Demon - tire and wheel question

The trunk area looks decent, but would love to see more extensive pics of the underside? The pic below looks like the back end of some type of ladder/traction type bar? Seems too low, but not sure? Don't take any comments personal, we're here to help. But if that means letting you know...

    How much do wheels weigh?

I have to say, while I understand the big bolt pattern upgrade, you're gonna have a hard time making that car "look" better then it does right now. :thumbrig: I agree finding draglites used would be the easiest now days, especially the 15x8's. The 6" fronts would be the most difficult. If you...

    How much do wheels weigh?

You do have to treat them well, especially the little fronts. I used several sets of 15x3.5/15x4 Weld's, Centerlines, Cragar SS & a set of Super Tricks. I babied the ST's to death on the street, and thru all the creaking noise in the turns, they survived limited use. I never had a issue with the...

    How much do wheels weigh?

I'm old school, so I still like the Spun Centerline... My favorite wheel these days is the Billet Specialties 5 spoke, although a little more pricey. Both these wheels above have a similar weight. The 15x5.5-15x6 are just about 12lbs. The 15x8-15x8.5 are just about 14lbs. Over the...

    How much do wheels weigh?

Of your 4 choices Paul, in a equal size, yes the weld's would be the lightest. If I have time, i'll do a little nosing around for you and post what I find. But I'm curious, are you looking to "upgrade" to a lighter wheel, or is this just for reference? There are streetable wheels out there...

Mag Wheel - Need identified - Thanks

If they are OEM and 14x6, they are likely Mopar wheels. If they are 14x7, they are likely GM wheels. Make sure you look for any stamping numbers/letters on the rear side.....We might be able to determine exactly what the came from?

Mag Wheel - Need identified - Thanks

Hard to tell by the pic Matt, but if the bolt circle is 4 1/2", I'd guess a early Mopar as I believe the Ford wheels were chrome only? If the bolt circle is 4 3/4", the're GM SS type wheels. How wide are they?

Mopar Rally wheels or Cragar SS

I went thru a lot of wheels in my day.....All kinds of rally's, Mag 500's, Super Tricks, SS Cragar's, Torque Thrusts, Centerlines, Welds, etc. If you really like a functional race type wheel, the last 5+ years or so, this Billet Specialty wheel is my favorite, as long as your wallet is fat :D...

Mopar Rally wheels or Cragar SS

Tough choice for me, since I like what you have now :D. If you really want something different, between the two, I'm guessing the Rally wheel's would fill the bill.

centerline wheels how to clean and polish

Wenol :D http://wenol-polish.com/ I've used Wenol for quite a while on metal that's prepared to be polished. 40yrs ago I used tubes of "Semichrome". Seems like the same stuff to me?

    Will wheels fit?

Not sure on your specific car, but with the 6" wheel, I'd have to think a 195/70 should fit nice on the rim and at 25.75ish tall, should clear without a issue as long as the torsion bars aren't cranked down real low.

Anybody know what kind of wheels these are?

Other then the cap, which may have been optional..... They look a awful lot like a "Vision Legend 5, type 141" to me. You may have to look on the back to see if there are any markings? http://www.visionwheel.com/wheel.cfm?id=683

I want to keep my Dana 60

I'd find it tough to give up the Dana also Russ...It's just a signature of Mopar performance. But that amount of spacer is just way out of wack. The studs would have to be made from all thread...lol. Wheel offset can work on some applications, but that housing is just too short to make it...

I love this wheel, who makes it?

Yep, my favorites these days also. They are a little pricey compared with Centerlines and Welds though.

    tire choices

I wont try and convince you one way or the other.....sounds like you're leaning radial. But since I'm old school, I voted for the Bias ply M/T's. I ran soft compound M&H's back in the day and had good luck with them, although there's a lot more power being run on the street these days :D. A...
