I picked up a 2 core rad with 1" cores and gonna try to go with the HHR fan. Just wanted to double check in case someone had measured total depth since I don't have the motor back yet.

Anyone measured how much space there is between a factory magnum water pump snout and the radiator core support in an early A?

I Know they will not fit on early A-body. Not sure about 72. I think I read about someone trying it by using a custom made power steering line with a 90 degree bend in it to clear the manifold but not sure if they ever succeeded or even tried it. You may have to research that part of it a bit more.

I did message Brian about this last night. He will be calling me Monday to discuss. I do have the alternator bracket and tensioner I can drop off with him to see what he thinks. The absolute worst case scenario would be to revert back to LA cover/pump. I was hoping to stay with the magnum stuff...

@black954 Any more updates on the magnum accessories? I also have a 5.9 right now at IMM and am using the aluminum LA heads they offer. Was planning on also using the magnum accessories so I'm watching this thread like a hawk! TIA

Going to run the magnum serpentine system with alternator only. This car is manual steering. May add A/C in the waaaay distant future so I'm not worried about that for now. I was going to run the AC delete pulley on the full magnum bracket but it looks like it will interfere on the thermostat...

My engine is currently in the machine shop and I have a Speedmaster intake I plan on dropping off this weekend along with a bunch of other odds and ends for the build. I will definitely post a bunch of pics along the way but wanted to make sure this intake will work or if I should get an Eddy...

I will have to retake pictures of lifters/pushrods/ and some other misc stuff tonight as the photos I took keep getting errors during upload. Engine was 250k miles before rebuild. He was not planning on using these lifters.
