727 trans trouble shifting into 3rd gear?

Hadn't thought about that variable. It has a Lokar kickdown cable I installed a few years back and worked great. Maybe overadjusted this time. I'll try that. Thanks Kim

727 trans trouble shifting into 3rd gear?

So, I tore the driveline out of my '74 Cuda for a freshen up over the winter. All the trans needed was a new filter and trans fluid. It worked flawlessly before it came out. Now with everything back in and running the trans won't shift into 3rd gear unless I take my foot off the gas for a...

    tranny woes

I gotta agree with everyone that responded so far. When my tranny lost reverse it acted like I had a high stall convertor at first. It took lots of pedal before it would start to move. Then after a few times backing up I had nothing at all. If you have nothing and then it's working fine again it...

    Anyone using shift-r-gate?

I read the reviews too and decided to try my luck. I put one in my Dart last year. I'll be taking it back out this winter. I did the filing tricks before I put it in. It's not that bad, it's just not consistently smooth operating.

    Trans Fluid....+4?

Tony, My recommendation to use type F was based on what I read in an old Direct Connection Performance manual. The book said it has a higher level of friction for firmer shifting. Someone that I trust on a different forum had this to say: Type F has a more aggresssive coefficient of friction...

Anyone using a Gear Venders O/D unit?

I cant offer anything from an experience standpoint. I have one sitting in the garage waiting to go into my '69 Charger. I bought it primarily to go behind my 470 stroker to make the 4:10s more streetable. My only input is-you could buy a lot of gas for what the GV unit costs. If you want it...
