The impossible to solve overheating problem

I suffer from those from time to time and it's horrible. With my overheating issue, recently resolved, thanks to guys here, it ended up being a combination of radiator cap, thermostat, faulty clutch fan and radiator/cooling system that needed to be flushed. Now she runs 190 all day long.

    Radiator to fan spacing

I’m replacing my worn out clutch fan with a flex fan and 1 inch spacer. Right now I have 2 inches between the fan and the radiator. Is this too much of a gap? Should I attempt a 2 inch spacer? I do have a OEM shroud. Thx in advance.

    Leaky Thermostat Housing...

Yep, I have billet housing with O-ring and a little Permatex Ultra Copper. Surface has to be clean and dry. Do not over tighten and let it set up over night. Mine has never leaked a single drop.
