    Lucky Me!

One time I was working on a newer with a friend and he is pretty much built like shreck and he could snap my arm like a twig....but he could NOT get the oil filter off because he couldn't get his hands around it because the clearance between the oil filter and transmission. (Front wheel drive...

    Lucky Me!

You must have some big hands. I can see why you say kitchen knives because Chrysler did leave a few sharp edges and burrs, but I feel like they left us plenty of room to move around. I'm guessing large hands might not help.

    Putting A/C in a formerly-A/C car

I have an absolute complete setup in a 75 duster v8 car. One stop shopping here. Shipping is an absolute pain in the *** but it depends what you want to budget for a factory setup and how close you are to Colorado 81005 Because it's so complete and original I was not really motivated to get...

    Duster firewall?

1967 to 1972 share an a/c or non a/c footprint. In 1973 they completely redesigned the footprint for either A/c or non A/c setups Almost nothing interchanges from 72 and older cars with 73 and newer cars. The controls are completely different and even how they mount is different. You want...

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

I wonder if it holds up well against very hot climates. I live in the desert and almost all my cars have melted dash vents. Warped plastic and white crumbly rubber pieces are the norm. So I wonder if it would still be there after a couple of summers in a car parked outside a lot. Just...

    70 a body heater box 73 duster

Green one is a 69 dart and the black is a 75 dart Late 74 and up had the vent tube but it's the same bolt pattern and footprint as 73 and early 74 All 67 to 72 i have ever seen are the same except the early ones had a metal squirrel cage and most 71 and 72 had a plastic squirrel cage.

    70 a body heater box 73 duster

Absolutely, I have 67 to 72 and 73 to 76 cars and they are different. Not saying it can't be made to fit with modifications but definitely not bolt in

    70 a body heater box 73 duster

Totally different firewall bolt patterns, outlet locations and the connections for the controllers are different. Save time and work and get a 73 to 6 unit and bolt it in and then have a six or twelve pack in the time you saved lol

    Which fan

So I have a 74 duster with a 360 installed and I'm not sure which fan to use. I have these two but the tips of the blades are different. Which one is best for a 360 (non a/c) or should I go with a solid bolted on fan??

    Kinda weird temperature readings

So I have a daily driven 68 dart with a 225 slant six. For as long as a can remember, normal temp is the gauge reads just above half way in the sweep in the middle of the normal range. The other day on Monday I took the radiator cap off to check the level because i was going to go on a trip...

    Pulley Diameters

When you find out that is worth noting, I did a pulley ID thread long time ago but I never touched on a/c because I have never had a car with a complete a/c setup.

Whats the story with this Aftermarket A/C unit??

Exactly, I saw that ....I didn't get any pics of the under hood parts (tomorrow) but there is a cast iron crank pulley that you can tell was added on.

Whats the story with this Aftermarket A/C unit??

must have been on the new wagon owner's mind in the 60s ......the car in the pics is a 68 Sport satellite wagon.

Whats the story with this Aftermarket A/C unit??

Anyone know the history of these A/C units?? Says "Sears" on the face, found a sears receipt from 1971, not 100% sure it is connected with this. Bought the car from the original owner and he says the A/c was added shortly after the car was new (car is a 68 ) because he wasn't going to pay the...

    What is this?

An orifice spark advance control (OSAC) valve is used on all models to delay distributor vacuum advance for about 15-27 seconds during acceleration.
  21. Princess Valiant

    What is this?

Osac valve ....you don't need it because it is part of the spark control system. the fact that its mounted on your firewall tells me your car is a 73 because in 74 that part was re-located and mounted on the air cleaner. if you take it off like many people do, don't toss it. Some of us...

    heater delete general questions

if your bezel is not perfect and needs re-finish then even better because with 3M 8115, all things are possible. I made my own radio delete but the same could be done for the heater very easy if you are working the bezel. I actually shaved it and I like the one I made better than the...

Did you ever remove your A/C?

i don't have pics of the final product because the car is in storage now but I actually cut out the firewall and welded in a section from a non / a/c firewall. the problem with selling a/c stuff is that its very heavy and hard to ship. I had an a/c set up from a parts car and I couldn't give...

What is this AC box for?

here is what a 66 A-body unit should look like http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=155816

What is this AC box for?

think its a 67-70 B-body with a/c but I believe half of it is missing. A/c boxes are usually two parts and in A and B bodies (maybe others) it can be disassembled into two main parts. Looks like half is missing and it definitely looks A/c with those fittings

Non AC Heater Boxes, Are All the Years the Same

68- 72 will interchange, they have 4 studs that go through the firewall and attach with nuts on the engine side. 73 and 74 changed to a 3 stud/ nut so an older one will not physically bolt up in addition to the controllers being completely different and cable routings and so on. 75 and 76...

How does this heater box retainer rod (J-hook) work?

I have never seen a J hook like yours but they are supposed to have a nut and can be accessed by opening the fresh air door. The J hooks goes through the eyelet and grabs on to the cowl to hold the assembly up.

    how could I repair this

I would look for a new one but if you cant find a new one and decide to repair .......3M 8115 can make that beautiful again. But as a last resort, once you figure materials costs and time, get a different one if you can.
