    A833OD Questions

Hmmm, maybe not the earlier A-bodies, but I've done it personally on the B and E bodies to hang the OD tranny off scattershields with the smaller IBR, I would have assumed the A bodies would be the same! What's the mounting bolt spacing on the small IBR? I have an OD IBR I can measure here...

    A833OD Questions

Yes, all you need to modify is the input bearing retainer and it's super easy if you have access to a lathe. There is no interference with the mounting bolts. There is no gasket, so just clean it up and smear a bit of gasket goo and you're done! The shifter is even the same, only difference...

    A833OD Questions

Does it have the stock 4 speed stuff in it or are you starting from scratch? All the stock 4 speed stuff in the car can be reused if you turn the OD tranny's input bearing retainer down to fit the bellhousing. The tranny will just bolt it then with no need to change the bellhousing, z-bar...

    A833OD Questions

I'd leave all the stock junk in the car and have the input bearing retainer on the OD tranny turned down to fit into a regular A833 bellhousing. You won't have to change all the other stuff like clutch linkage, etc. Just slam it in! Only other difference is the 3/4 shift rod points down...

    Steel or Aluminum?

I flat out LOVE the aluminum flywheel I have in my Challenger!! It's a 440 OD 4 speed with a 3.23 limited slip. The way it revs up is awesome, snappy and responsive, like driving a rocketship!! It does need a little more RPM to get it moving, in my combo I think the slightly deeper first gear...

    What makes a Hurst...

I have the shifters mostly disassembled on my work bench right now and it looks like everything is interchangable. I want to put the push-in handle mechanism from the regular Mopar Hurst box into the Comp Plus box for better shifting, but I need to know what is actually different in the Comp...

    What makes a Hurst...

What makes a Hurst Competition Plus shifter better than a normal Hurst shifter? I'm combining two shifters into one and I need to know what parts are different between the two. What are the actual internal parts that are different? It's got to be more than just the external adjusters, but...

    Aluminium Flywheels

I have an aluminum flywheel in my Challenger and love it! One my favorite musclecars to drive I've ever had! Car runs a 13.9 @ 100 mph with a stock internally 375 HP 440, aluminum flywheel, Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, OD four speed and a 3.23 suregrip with 26" tires. Now that I know...
