I would mount mufflers as far away from the collector as possible. The pulse waves traveling down the exhaust pipe from the collector hit the muffler and reflect back up the tube towards the engine and impede scavenging.

Outstandinger than hell. I do like the sound of big pipe organs. You 'll want to be careful with a setup like that. You could have over-scavenging which may suck the intake valves open causing a run-away.

I vote you interconnect all four speaker boxes to a shared pulse wave resonance box with acoustically tuned tubes. Then hook that to your intake manifold via another acoustically tuned tube so that your speakers will reverberate the moan of your intake resonance at full throttle.
