    You should`nt have any problems, if you use the the bronco unit they were all 5 on 5.5 wheel lugs, you `ll have to redrill for mopar spacing, it will use 3/16 brake lines, but you cannot get 3 inch drums any more, all ford offers are 2.5 even in the aftermarket, so with that being said if you...

    Is there an axle stamping on the housings to determine year and model they came from? have an exsisting A-body 8.75 that I want to ID, are there differances between the say`67 model to the `71 model, want to upgrade axles and brakes! Rick

    Mercury rear axle assy.

    A ford nine inch, quick id is, if you can get a socket on the two lowest bolts holding the center section on, it is an 8 inch, you can only get a wrench on a ford 9, also Mercury used a 8.75 inch rear axle, not one of fords better plans, so gear sets are limited. Rick
