    1968 Dart radio bracket question

The Grenada and Sunbird both went airborne, as did my moms Capri. The buddy that hit me with the nickname had the record with his moms Datsun 310 though.

    1968 Dart radio bracket question

Me & a buddy skipped school on a snowy day and we were bombing around in my car. We were in the next town over and I came around a corner in second and started a good sideways slide -steering into it and realized we were in a school zone. The crossing guard came over and started yelling and told...

Replacing Instrument Cluster bulbs with LEDs - Illumination Detail Question - 67 Barracuda

You might have better, more uniform light output by painting the inside of the housing with flat white rather than silver.

    Rear Seatbelts

Itll take me a bit, but ill get um. I don’t have the package tray installed yet, and years ago (late 80s) I had taken the seatbelts out. Through the years, never seeing them at car shows, I came to realize I had a rare option or special order item.

    1968 Dart interior piece questions

It’s actually black, between the sunlight & pollen, it looks brown in the photo. Me & a buddy had a snow day & were out bombing around & ended up in the next town over & their school wasn’t canceled. I came around a corner sideways hitting 3rd and there was a school crossing up ahead. When I...

Has anyone installed more modern bucket seats in their A Body??

Going back to the Lo/Hi back issue. If you want the low back, but with power, you might scour classic Mercedes forums or some such place. cars like that are about all I can think of that would be low back and power. I went with the ProCar seats. So far fit & finish seem fine, but actual...

    Crappy Product? from Seatbelt Solutions

Actually got a reply from Year One today. They say no response from the manufacturer, but he is going to try to talk to his management about getting a replacement. Update to follow

    Crappy Product? from Seatbelt Solutions

I purchased the 3 point seatbelt conversion set for my 68, wanting some semblance of safety, (not dry rotted and with proper shoulder restraint) I sent the following to Year One. (Seatbelt Solutions of Jupiter Fl. is the manufacturer) With YearOne saying they get no response from SS, I am now...

    Seat belt retractor

I can understand the frustration you are going through sometimes with 50 year old devices you need to lubricate them and work them or take them apart and clean and lubricate them some devices are just old and worn out and might need replacement items such as seatbelts also might look OK but you...

    New "Bluetooth only" stereo install

Theres also a HUGE difference between a stereo head unit with 50X4 peak power at 1kHz tested with one channel driven, vs an amp with 50 w continuous at 20-20K with all channels driven. Thats like towing a trailer (speaker load) and comparing a 4 cyl engine (amplifier) that makes 350 hp (watts)...

    New "Bluetooth only" stereo install

1, You are correct, Alpines don't really emphasize bass, they generally are best paired with a subwoofer for more accurate sound. 2, As with any speaker, it is best to have the surface they are mounted to sealed from front to back so the sound wave from the back doesn't cancel out the sound wave...

    Leaning bucket seat??

There is a little bit of a recess in the floor on the inside mounting points "I believe" there was a steel plate above & below the sheet metal to sandwich where the bolt went through. I think one wasn't used on the outside bolts because the bracket under the floor was larger and went all the way...

How can you update 70’s Bucket Seats?

Take the pro car seats apart, take the high backs apart, look at how the frame is built and modify the Pro car frames so the original cushions and covers will fit. Yeah, it’s probably a lot of cutting and welding, not a small task, probably a good winter project. EDIT: I just looked and noticed...

Dart quarter window rolled kit question

My picture was a zoom in for better view, 2 bolts per window, 2 washers per bolt, 2 sides per car, probably will drop 1 down in the gap between the rocker & outer panel to join my 7/16 combination wrench, so I could very well use more than the 8 provided.

    Procar poor quality welds

I peeled mine apart and the welds look pretty good. I had heard pretty good recommendations for them previously, & certainly didn’t intend to dissuade anyone from buying them. I just wanted to look before going to the hassle of installing to then find I need to work on them. They look pretty...

    Headliner Bow Retainers

Does anyone know or have the ability to measure the length of the 2 wire retainers that hold the last (rear) headliner bow? 1968 Dart 2dr Hardtop. I can’t seem to find mine & while I haven’t minded shelling out for most things, $15 + S&H seems a bit much.

    Bench to Bucket Conversion Advice
