It would be easier to go 10 x 2 1/2”. Your not going to find A body 10 x 1 3/4” drums with the large bolt pattern. Never made them.

Yes they are the same set up on A bodies for years. I believe 67-76 is the same.

I own a AAMCO 4000 drum /rotor lathe. It has been my experience that if the run out on your rotors is .005 or more you more than likely going to feel brake pulsation. When I turn a rotor, the best results I have been able to attain on my lathe is .001. Which is more than good enough.

Your looking at the wrong side. If it pulls to the right,that means the right brake is working harder than the left. When it does this stop and see if one drum is much hotter than the other. But I agree you need to start with new quality brake shoes and have your drums turned if they are within...

The 8 1/4 are the same as all other 4.5 bolt circle backing plates.

Shoes could be wet from leaking axle seal or wheel cylinder leak.

As long as you use the correct year shoes , springs ,adjuster kits etc.

Held in with a rubber short sleeve in a enlarge area at the bottom of the piston. So you can’t pull the brake pedal to far back and the rod fall out of the piston.

If you have a vise, put the rod in the vise tight and pry the piston off with two large screwdrivers.

Lathe is cheap. The tooling is expensive. I have 1800.00 in my Amco 4000 with the new tooling I bought.

Seems like your fighting the advice that has been given. You need a larger bore MC. Or keep beating your head against the wall. You are not the first person to encounter this with a 15/16 bore. Same as a rock hard pedal. MC bore size is to large.

My first thought since you say you have bleed the brakes is the small 15/16 bore of the MC. And you really shouldn't be pinching the rear brake hose.
