The big limitations on the 5.9 are
1) intake manifold, it doesn’t tune and cuts HP.
2) intake valve size -add 2.02”
3) compression ratio- a little bit more will help
These three together with the ‘98 Jeep 5.9 calibration work well together.
The stock exhaust systems are extremely...
I’m thinking transmission will make the biggest difference.
The 5.7 Hemi advantage is the msd ( cylinder deactivation). The 5.2/5.9 magnum runs rich at any sort of load over about 3600 Rpm with stock calibration to keep the ridiculously cheap exhaust valves cool.
5.2 ( & 3.9) had a cam change in '94
5.9 had a cam change in '96 ( probably best production magnum cam)
In ' 94 exhaust manifold outlets were reduced in size for all engines.
There are a also different exhaust manifold for trucks, vans & jeeps.
I don't think the 4.7L would fit but it is just not worth the effort.
Mercedes has nothing to do with the 4.7.
Chrysler would have been better off had they just not done the 4.7 (& 3.7 v6).
The 4.7 is way done on torque from a 5.2, not too noticeable in the Jeeps as the 4.7 had an improved auto...
