Maybe I should just go with a nice aluminum upgraded rad and then try to track down a shroud. Certainly less effort and potential problems with electric fans avoided. Are shrouds hard to come by? Have not researched yet. Thanks for your post.

Cleaned the box out. Have time before I decide about the rad and fan, going electric for sure. Interested in what you have though. Undecided about electric cut outs, sound like they all have leaking issues. That idea was just to have fun with it, not required for racing or anything like that...

Thanks. I particularly like the way an electric fan cleans up the engine bay. I live in the mountains so elevation changes happen. Just want something that will stay cool for example in a parade or prolonged time having to drive real slow.

Just a quick update, the heater core I got from Lordco was a perfect fit, no tweaking required. Still running a little hotter than I like. Picked up a real temp gauge and will install it so I can see exactly where the number are.Don't think it is running quite a warm as the factory gauge is...

Great thanks,pretty much what I was thinking and as it turns out 195 was factory, so I was told. Might not be the thermostat but no other indications at this time, Rad is new so I figure start with the cheapest part and hope it is a quick fix. Thanks guys.

Thank you to all, great info. I did notice the car was running just a touch hotter than usual after installing the new pump. I will certainly check the hoses , nipples before pulling it out but I am pretty sure it is shot. My wife works at a parts store,lucky me, cost should not be an issue...

Guys, quick question. I think my water pump just packed it in on the 340.It has been awhile, do I require silicone on the bolts on the install? Seem to remember doing that before. Thanks
