    1975 dart restomod

Please explain “modern.” 1) new parts made like old parts. Example chrysler distributors but with hei ignition. 2) new style hemi or similar parts made for old cars. Kits for converting new engines and transmissions to old cars. 3) replacement parts but todays technology. Example tuberlar k...

    My project so far!

Now the fun begins (or ends depending on how you are personally- some like body work but hate mechanical some visa Versa ) some of the hardest parts are you feel accomplished with the body being done. Then the labor of reassembly and the fear of scratching or chipping. Take your time and enjoy...

    A-Body + Rotisserie Length?

Speaking from experience- add 6 foot to your car length for some. Mine is 8’ to the length. I cannot speak for homemade units. Syleng1

    65 dart 270

Very cool- is the engine red or orange? I had a 66 barracuda with an orange 225 and there was no signs it was repainted. Except for the valve cover. That was resprayed at one time with cheap black spray can. Thanks for sharing.

QQ- why does it look like that rear axle is too far forward in the photo? Maybe angle of camera?

Dangers of buying a car online

I cannot believe that someone on eBay would lie. Also if you have extra cash I’m selling a bridge over some water for like little to no extra money if interested…. Sorry- lol! Most transactions are good but used cars are a crap shoot.

    340 block Vin #

That is VERY positive info. I love the picture of the transmission pad. My 72 Demon 4speed looks the same way. Again- drunken sailor. No wonder these cars has such low quality issues. Amazing they still are around today. Same year Honda and how many of those are still here and driving, and...

    340 block Vin #

So my additional input is this. I’m also looking at the pad and see the damage. I zoomed in to see the pad looks like the block either had some really bad man handling (possibly to get an oil pan down in the car) or dented up with a hammer because the machined boss does look extremely smooth...

    340 block Vin #

Yes. This looks like my block stamping. Some are perfect and some look like a drunken sailor did it. Lol!

Sounds like you have it under control now. That’s good! Some of this stuff is over 50years old so it takes some time but I agree with a simple call back is a whole Lot better than the “what if’s “

    Instrument Specialties

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I’m about an hour away and have delt with Tom many times. Here is what I know first hand. plastic rechroming is not done on site. They send it to a place in Mass for that. A place in CT does their metal chrome and copper work. They did a bunch of knobs and when I...

    73 340 Restoration

Dyno does not care what color the fuel pump or distributor is. Remember the point of the dyno is a controlled environment to break in the engine and then make adjustment to get the best running engine you can get. Be prepared to make changes when there. Dyno time is costly. Good luck and let us...

    Mopar 8.25 rear

For normal street use - no issues. Heavy drag or slicks- not long. 400hp has been the “typical” top end. Lighter than the 8-3/4 and a lot cheaper.

Modern Drivetrain Swap into '65 Valiant

I did some reading on the 200r4 trans. Having rebuilt at dealer level a bunch. They are a good trans and smaller than the 2wd Mopar OD so fit ment is better in an Abody. Sadly Mopar newer engine swaps are a PITA unlike Chev or Ford swaps. I wish Ma MoPar was as kind to the aftermarket kingdom as...

Modern Drivetrain Swap into '65 Valiant

Just my option but a Jeep 6 stands too tall to fit under the hood. A good running 318 with overdrive trans would be good, inexpensive and reliable.

65 barracuda 273 From the dead

IMHO- engine bay is body color. Engine is red. I have a Chrysler blue engine in my 66 Barracuda and I really don’t like it. It’s coming out this winter for proper red color.
