    That is a factory block. Some Fords came with Rancho shocks too.

    I have to agree with you if its lifted its not much. Are the shocks an aftermarket brand? Sometimes they have a part number stamped in the body.

    I think that wire is supposed to be grounded to the front of the head. Look for a stud and nut with an eyelet that still on it.

    The 2.7l engine can be rebuilt. I brought one back from sludged up timing chain jumped, and smashed valves. It takes sometime to get everything clean. What is wrong with the one you have?

    A bad brake booster can give you a low pedal. Usually if you can pump up a good pedal it is air.

    Maybe loose front wheel bearings pushing pads way back. Have seen wheel cylinders suck air in through the seals. Stuck caliper guide pins can give a low pedal.     Put a hammer face bit in your air hammer and use it to rattle against the rotor between the studs all around the hub and they will pop off. Works every time.
