    Vvt lock or not

Well for looks you need the dual quad manifold. Seems like your prefer old school set up why didn't you stick with LA small block or a 440?

    Vvt lock or not

I get it. Money is always an issue. Every step is another thousand. It just seems like sticking a carb manifold on high tech motor is going backwards. If you had the truck intake and computer it could be used? I helped a buddy put a 4.0l jeep motor in to a Ford Ranger we made our own harness...

    Vvt lock or not

I know it will cost more money to do but you should consider a Multi port injection. I feel like the fuel distribution is gonna be terrible with heads that were designed for a dry intake. The short tight turns can't be good to keep fuel mixed. Unless the manifold is tall tunnel ram type with...

Uncle Tony says Gen III hemi has inherent lifter lubrication problems. Agree?

When things really go bad the lifter turns 90 degrees in the holder and the roller eats the lobe big time. Seemed to be more of a problem on cylinders 5 and 7. We never saw cam lifter problems on the 2003-to maybe 2008 engines. Seemed to start on the later motors.

Uncle Tony says Gen III hemi has inherent lifter lubrication problems. Agree?

Things to consider on cop car engines how much idle time at low oil pressure? At 3000 miles how many hours has it been? When i was working at the dealer we saw cop cars with 60k miles and 5000hrs. That's a lot of idle time.

    Drive by wire question

The pedal has an app sensor (app=accelerator pedal position). This inputs to the PCM which then controls the throttle body with feedback from the throttle position sensors. The Hemi engine in the earlier trucks like my 2004 ram have the APP mounted on the end of a cable under the battery tray. I...

is it wrong to take a apart a perfect srt for its drivetrain?

The NAG trans uses info from the ABS module to calculate output speed. It needs info from the CAN bus system to work. You have to have the whole network. Very finicky set up to transplant unless you have programing level equal to the manufacturer.

    6.2 hellcat crate motor

I'd like to know what the actual Chrysler part number is to see if it really is available.

Hemi Continues to quit at Speed.

I've never seen any trouble with the coil/plug pcm death issue on the early style like you have. The ones with trouble are the coils with 2 plug boots and no wires.

Hemi Continues to quit at Speed.

Does your set up use the coils with plug wires that cross over

Hemi Continues to quit at Speed.

Tincup one other thing to try is driving with a scan tool that is capable of graphing and recording the sensors as you drive. See if cam or crank drops out. See if everything goes away as in Pcm is off line. What year engine and computer are you using? Is it from a car or truck

Hemi Continues to quit at Speed.

The can bus cars would set a loss of comm with the PCM when this happens.

Hemi Continues to quit at Speed.

Tincup I was working at a Dodge dealer for the last 22 years. There's an issue with some of the Hemi engines where an interaction between sparkplugs and coils takes the pcm offline for a second and shuts it down. There was never a complete explanation from Chrysler on this but the diagnosis...
