Here is a Dart I had quite a few years ago. 318 factory AC. Had about 40k miles. Put cop car wheels, dog dish, dual exhaust. It was a nice cruiser. They cost as much to work on as a 2 door. But don’t except to get the best return on your investment.
The final results look great. I thought maybe you were going to cut the back bumper to match the rear quarter panel on the side....so that it would have to wrap around. :) Don't know if that is possible or not...I guess anything is possible. Then it could of tucked in.
What you see is a tip of the iceberg...what I would also look at is underneath the car. Check out where the rear of the torsion bars seat. Frame rails front and back. Where the leaf springs connect at the rear.
If you really just want it to look better for awhile then knock out the...
you might consider painting them silver...I've actually like the 'chrome' paint. I've sprayed a few items with that and it looks pretty good. You could even shoot some clear over it. But body color looks good too.
412 Stroker nice car. I like how you tucked your bumpers in. Did you have...
Put a 440 in it and a blower out of the hood. Paint it Red, with some black stripes...redo the interior..rechrome everything. New tires, new shocks...raise the butt lower the front...new exhaust tips. Change it from a 4 door to a 2 door. Make it into a 69 Valiant. There that should do it...
I'd go for it. 4 doors are cool cars but aren't really worth that much. Converting to a 2 door sedan would be the 'easy' way to go..but I think that if you have all the hardtop parts then it should be that bad to do a roof swap. Just brace up the body and get the sawzall out. A and C pillars...
Good job on getting it fixed quickly. Is this a 71 or 72? You have 71 marker lights on the front but 72 marker lights on the rear. Just curious. I had a 72 and never liked the 'stick-on' marker lights. You did some custom work just wondering why you didn't smooth over the rear marker lights..
