well steering box is probably 5-6 lbs heavier than stock aluminum and with my big block and tti headers im running into clearance problems... in my car my headers were insanely close to the stock box so close i already had some dents for stock box and this boxes casting is slightly different...

i got my manual steering box out in my 440 duster with tti 2 inch headers without removing anything else, i imagine you can remove a power steer gear box out as well depending on engine and header combination

im guessing its 24 to 1 since it says stock ratio?

us car tools are the best in my opinion, they tie the subframes together and the floor and can actually look factory, i went with them on my 72 duster and they fit very well just took a little grinding to get them perfect

i had the same problem with new moog pitman and idler arm nothing fixed it except for putting the old pitman arm on it wasnt very worn so i figured it would be fine hope you find a better solution

the main problem is the tie rods are not a few threads off theyre both almost to the end of their adjustment one very long and the other very short. thats the only way the wheels will sit straight at the center of travel in the steering box. do you think there could be something wrong internally...
