    451 on the dyno

I remember when that stroker combo was a big deal...now it is fairly mild compared to some of the stuff out there. Still think it is one of the best "Bang-for-the-buck" combo's-it'll be the one I shove in my '69 Valiant

Help me win this argument 400 in a 72.

Yup- depends on end use of the owner and how much work they wish to put into the project

My Best Friend's 440 Long Ram Dart

Sorry to hear about your husband, Dave, and the lawsuit...I'll never get why people are so "Sue" happy. Best of luck, don't be afraid to popp in and post up replies, pictures, whatever.

    New wall art

Both cool! I painted my walls, FRP'd the first 48" of the walls, then proceeded to put emblems, sticker/decals, license plates, dealer plate brackets, trinkets, my Pink Floyd concert announcement from Stuttgart in '89, framed posters (cars) and my kids art all over...it is my garage

    Question for running roller cam

I can cheat and say 'stock'..'85-up had rollers, but I know you are probably asking about retro-fitting a roller cam into a BB/RB block. My buddy has a roller cam in his RB and I believe it is the stock, stamped-steel cover

    Crankshafts?

383 crank will work in the 400,but a properly machined and balanced 400 crank should be able to handle 400HP. 400 rods should be okay @ 400 HP as well If you could get the 383 stuff cheap (which most of the time people will give them to you), I'd use it. If not, you'll be fine with the cast...

    Passon 5 speed

Want to hear when these come out- give Keisler some competition and have heard nothing but good things about their 4-speed products.

    400 stroker or 440

I've saved 2 of the early 400 blocks for myself over the years; one from a truck and the other from a Newport, both '72 models if memory serves me correct. Best part? Cheeeeap- I didn't pay over $100 for either

    will a 383 squeeze in a 73 duster?

Schumacher swap kit for the K-member, for starters. Then headers or manifolds, radiator, et cetera...

    400 stroker or 440

    No...I say 451 w/ a BIG turbo!:blob: Ha,ha, ha...
