    Can I narrow A body 8 3/4 housing 3"?

I'm not sure there's a specific reason why you want to narrow an A body housing, but wouldn't it be cheaper too narrow a B, C, or E body housing and then sell the stock length A body housing to someone who could use it?

    proper fluid level on 727TF

Some people are Agreed. This guy has been a real *** lately thinking HIS way is the only right way. He didn't get that he op may have the wrong dipstick, or he is just dense.

    Need advice

I was just thinking that with a 340, a 323 gear should still make the tires spin. I can spin both rear tires with a 318 auto and 323 gears in.

Street A bodies with springs moved into the rails

I'm pretty sure you're going to be at 35 inches Center to Center, that's assuming that your new front spring mounts extend an inch from the frame rail on each side.

Street A bodies with springs moved into the rails

To get the center to Center spring perch measurement, how come you can't measure the center to center of your frame rails, or more accurately the center to Center of the spring boxes that were welded in?

    early 8 3/4 rears?

The 63-66 Darts are the early A-body. The 61 and 62 are B-bodys. I have owned 63, 64 and 65 Darts... all A-bodies. I have a 65 Plymouth B-body 8 3/4 rear, and I thought it is the narrowest of the B-bodies and that it easily fit in the early A-body with minor mods. Not correctly installed...

    Would This Make Sense?

Makes me wonder if he used early b-body springs that are an inch longer and would move the rear back an inch. Just a thought. I accidentally put an a-body spring on the right side of a 64 Fury, a B-body, that has a broken main leaf on the right side and used it for a while wondering why the...

4.5" bolt pattern 7.25" rear axles

If you were closer to Pa, you could have a 7.25 B-body rear I have from a 67 or 68 Coronet. I think they are only a lil bit wider than an A-body rear.

pb shifter won't go into reverse

Button pushes in, but won't stay engaged there when warm. Trans doesn't get into Reverse, either. All is fine when cold and first started up. Button goes in and revers goes in just like it is supposed to. Run it a mile or two down the road and reverse doesn't work anymore.

pb shifter won't go into reverse

On my "new to me" 64 Dart , the push button auto shifter won't go into reverse, seemably only when the engine and trans are up to temp. In other words, when I pull out of my driveway, it will go into reverse, but when I bring it back after 10-15 mins of riding, I can't get it to go in reverse...
