1973 valiant what size tires can I use

Your car looks great the way it is. I have two 1972 4 door Valiants and daily drove one from 2007 to 2018. I'd still be driving it daily had the torsion bar crossmember not rusted away. My car had a good ride and look with 205/70-14's.....I like black sidewalls myself but whitewalls look good...

What would have been the size of the stamped steel wheel on my car?

I was able to find the broadcast sheet after I posted the question and found the "T11" tire size for my car originally. I see, from the charts you provided, that it would have been equipped with the 4.5" wide wheels. Thanks a bunch!

What would have been the size of the stamped steel wheel on my car?

I have a 1974 Duster. It is equipped with a 198 Slant 6 with auto trans and manual front disc brakes. I know that the disc brakes mandated big bolt pattern wheels for this car. It currently has a set of ralley wheels. I may switch to the stamped steel wheels and want to know what size they would...

    non a body ralley wheels

My understanding is that only the 14x5.5 ralleys were used on A-bodies. What is the back spacing on the 14x6 BBP ralley wheels from the non A-body cars? Thankyou!

    Will this work?

This is for a 1974 Duster with factory front disc brakes, Stock leaf location, Bbp 7-1/4 rear. Looking to buy 14x8 rear Chrysler ralley wheels with 4.5" back spacing. I want to install 245/60-14 BFG tires. Will they be too close to the leaf springs? Thanks for the help!

    Stock wheels

1973dusterkid, The size you are looking for is gonna be a custom wheel. I had custom 14X7 steel wheels made by Stockton wheel in California. They used a 14X4.5 wheel to start with...cost was about 260 dollars for both. FYI, last time I talked to them they said they could use the centers...

proper tire size for A body trunk well

I have a '70 Duster with the original 6.95X14 goodyear spare on the 14X4.5" stamped steel wheel and it sticks up about 3/4 of an inch....the trunk cardboard doesn't fit flush with the surrounding floor....so the e70-14's would be worse....I guess the 6.50X13 was ideal...lol..hows your welding...

    P195/70r14 & p235/60r14

Finding a tire that will accomplish this like having your cake and eating it too with the duster/demons and dart sports ( narrow rear track ).....but I have run 225/70-14's on all corners of a '74 duster w/14X5.5 ralleys that got alot of compliments...but more importantly rode and handled good...

    P195/70r14 & p235/60r14

About 3 years ago I was able to get the very sizes you mentioned in the BF Goodrich Radial T/A from tire rack for my '70 duster....195/70-14...seems this size comes and goes, don't know why.... maybe try Year One and see if they still stock the size....if not then tire rack should be able to...

225/60-14 BFG Radial TA on 14x5.5 steelie

Thanks guys, for the replies....I remember seeing this set up on a 70 Dart 340 at the Nationals a while ago...thought it looked pretty good. Based on the uneven wear comments I may just stick with 195 or 205- 70's for now on the 5.5" rims. Thanks again.
