Rapom's Rocket - just another Duster build thread

I like this build ALOT! This car reminds me of my 'Golden Fawn '74 Duster. One thing that I have always wanted to do, and sorry if I go off on a tangent, is remove the factory door handles and graft in C3 door Handles. I think it would work very well since both cars have the necessary ledge for...

    1971 Plymouth Duster project

Nice Project! The right door (passenger side) is a '73 and later unit and incorrect for the car if you are restoring the car to original.

Finally getting to it!!! 1970 Duster 340

I was wondering how to tackle this job. My '70 has blue seatbelts, aside from the dirt they are in good condition. I will have to repaint the buckle portion because of chips. Were the date tags on the belts damaged in any way? What kind of soap did you use. Thankyou! Your Duster 340 is...

    factory black on red interior

I noticed the red showing through as well. I wonder if that's over spray from the factory when they painted the interior of the door? I am getting more and more curious about the process and the order in which things were done at the factory. Would be neat to know. I agree, the red interior...

    73' B3 340 Duster pro touring build

The rendering is unbelievable! I have followed the thread and admired your work the whole way. Top notch stuff and very inspiring. Good luck with the sale! If Mopar brought this body style back and stayed true to your rendering it would rival the new Challenger!

    im addicted

It is really neat to see how this car was optioned out and its a shame more were not made. I guess it is understandable considering the sportier cars offered in the Plymouth/Dodge line that people paid more attention to. I wish I could find one like this. Heck even a four door version optioned...

Back in the A body business

NO, keep it tx9....there is nothing like the combination of the sharktooth grill, chrome bumpers/ stainless trim and that ultra rare tx9 color. Looks so right on the duster! Whatever you decide it looks like you are making/have a great foundation!

Paint for my '75 Hang 10?

It's your decision but I'm glad you chose to stay with white. The color is the identity of the car! Mopar nailed it in my opinion! There is one on ebay right now and looks great. No reserve and states 18K original miles. Check it out if you get a chance.
