MT ET Street SS. How sticky street driven?

I've had both of these tires on my Dart in 275/60/15. Mickey Thompson's hook better than the nittos both street and strip. That being said, they last about 5,000 miles and the Nitto's will last much longer. If it's purely street and you don't need to dead hook then go with the Nitto's.

Street tire pressue for MT s/s

I run these tires all the time. Even at drag week. On a good track I run 20 psi, bad track down to 17 or 18. I run 30 psi on the street. That has always given me a good wear pattern. Mine are 275/60/15 on a 71 Dart

    What drag radial?

By the way these are Mickey Thompson ET Street SS Radials. I run a 275/60/15.

    What drag radial?

I've had great luck with these. They have taken my Dart into the high 11's with a 1.54 60 ft time but yet will last for 5,000-6,000 miles on the street. I know that doesn't sound like many miles but if you are not street driving every day that will last a few years. With the new radial...

Got Steelies all the way around

Yeah I need to get a set. That way I can just slap them on when I get tired of this look. Kind of like the black steelies because it reminds me of the 69 1/2 A12 roadrunners

Got Steelies all the way around

That's what took me so long to pull the trigger. I honestly think it's worth it though

Got Steelies all the way around

Forgot to mention. Also had to move the rearend back 1/2 inch.

Got Steelies all the way around

It's got the Mopar performance offset shackles. The wheels were made by wheel vintiques 15x8 with 5 inches of backspace. Still had to trim wheel molding on both sides. But all good now with no tire rub, it's a tight fit though!

Had the same in the rear with 15x3.5 centerline auto drags

Got Steelies all the way around

Hey guys, just thought I would share a picture of my new look. 15x8 rear with 275/60/15 and 15x4 up front with a 165/70/15. I'm digging the look!

Is there an actual advantage to BBP vs SBP?

If you are old school like me, don't bother switching to BBP. I'm currently running a black steel wheel in the back and centerline skinnies up front but now changing to 15 inch steel wheels all around. Don't let the BBP being "stronger" bother you unless you are building some sort of 9 second...

    M/T ET street S/S. VS. Nitto NT555R

I've owned both and the Mickeys hook much better at the track. But if you are 90% street you will probably be happy with the Nittos

largest rear tire on stock wheelwell 69 dart

Ha! I've been running 275/60/15s for several years on my 71 Dart with 8" wheels. I don't like the looks of too wide of wheel for the tire.

Post Your - Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial 275/60/15

Here is a pic of my 71 Dart with 275/60/15 MT street radials. 15x8 inch steel wheels with 5 inches of backspace. Have the offset shackle kit to move springs in 3/4 inch. They hook great with 18 lbs of pressure, as I have been 1.67 60ft with my mild junkyard 5.9 Magnum. As others have said...

    275/60 with stock wheel wells?

Oh and I also moved my rear end back about 1/2 inch for clearance to the front of the wheel opening. Would barely rub at the top of the quarter mile with the tire ballooned out.

    275/60 with stock wheel wells?

I am running 275/60/15s on my 71 Dart, I would imagine the wheel wells are pretty similar. Had wheel vintiques make me 15x8s with 5 inches of backspace. Used the MP offset shackle kit and still had to roll the outer lips. It takes some work to do it but now mine are perfect with no rubbing.

    Biggest tire on 1969 dart

My Dart is a 71. I'm running 15x8 inch steel wheel with 5 inch backspace. Using the 3/4 inch offset shackles just had to roll the outer fender lips. No rubbing fits great.

Black steelies and drag radial look?

I'm personally a fan of the black steelies. I may go black steel up front in the future to match the back. Your car looks great by the way. The black wheels match the stripe and 440 call out.

28" Tire to rocker clearance - Duster

I have 28 inch tires on my dart. It was close when installed them but I thought it was okay. At around 105 MPH the tire grew enough to rub slightly. These are MT drag radials by the way. I then made a spacer to move my rear end back. I too have the MP offset spring hangers. After the small...

off set on a stock 72 dart

5 inches back space would work if you install mopar performance offset shackles. This moves your springs in about 3/4". It's what I did on my 71 Dart.

ANYONE with black rims on their mopar

Here is another vote for black steel. In the back anyway.

Wheel Vintiques' new 15" by 4" by 4" BC

Does Wheel Vintiques sell this 15x4x4 wheel or did you have it custom made? I have been looking for some skinny small bolt pattern steels for the front of my dart.

26x11.5x15 Hoosier QTP ? Please help

The only way to get more tire under their would have been more back spacing. I run MT street radials 275/60/15 but I have 15x8 wheels with 5 inches of backspacing. I think your back wheel well looks cool the way you trimmed it though. Mines no show car either!
  27. Walker434

    Lets see your steelies

My back wheels are 15x8 with 5 inches of backspacing. Needed the extra backspacing because I used the offset spring hangers. I plan to get some front steelies and run dog dish hubcaps all the way around someday.

New tires and wheels on 71 Dart

I used the Mopar Performance 3/4 offset hangers and shackles so there is no way to flip the front hanger. I used the SS 002 003 springs so it sits a little higher on the passeger side. Helps to launch straight but I like the stance on the driver's side better. These pictures make it look a...

New tires and wheels on 71 Dart

I love how it handles! The front comes up really well and it throws you directly back in your seat and keeps you there just like it's supposed to!
