    71 Duster carpet 4 speed

I just did mine in my '72 Duster last weekend. I picked up a Walnut Hollow hot knife on ebay-it's a glorified soldering iron with screw in #11 xacto blades. Doesn't look like much and I was expecting to be disappointed but on the contrary, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't want to just cut...

    Headliner Install Question

I cut the channel back about an inch from the end of the bow and I still had to cut it more on some of them while putting it in, so be prepared for that.

Anybody receive seat covers from Legendary or Classic Industries lately?

Bumped for an update-mine showed up Monday the 11th, just shy of 2 months earlier than anticipated.

    72 Demon sails

That cardboard isn't (or shouldn't be) glued down solid-a part of it is not. The end of the clip slides under the area that is not glued. (edit) To pile on: The cardboard glued to the back of the sail should be a sort of ring shape. The clip goes in the hole in the 'ring' and under it where it...

    Under dash help..

I've only stripped about a dozen A Bodies over the years but I have never seen anything in the "red circled area". Not sure if anything ever did go there but there's nothing in my '72 Duster. The play in the column plate to firewall is there so you can line up the steering shaft to the...

    1971 DEMON......4 OR 6 ROOF BOWS?

I'm going with a 6 bow in my '72 Duster. Not that it's original-there was no cloth headliner available in '72, but because it seems like there would be an awful lot of cloth between 4 bows. I like the idea that 6 bows would make it look tighter.

Anybody receive seat covers from Legendary or Classic Industries lately?

Ordered a set of black bucket seat covers from Legendary last weekend and the email confirmation said 280 day lead time. I can wait-it's not like I don't have anything else to do.

Engaging the Think Tank-"cloth" headliner into a '72 Duster.

I read that here while doing my research. I'm torn between the idea of either leaving it because I find it amusing, or just hit it with a dusting of flat black spray paint. I'm still weeks away from installing the headliner so no rush to decide. I can get some pretty stiff springs but springs...

Engaging the Think Tank-"cloth" headliner into a '72 Duster.

The only one I have seen in quite a few years that would be considered junk was one I found near Portland on Craigslist a month ago that I robbed the LCAs off of. And it too was a TX9 '72 Duster 340 so no help there with measurements. And since pickups and Subarus rule the roads around here it's...

Engaging the Think Tank-"cloth" headliner into a '72 Duster.

Hey all, The perpetual 340 Duster project has yet another layer of TX9 on it and reassembly begins. I'm opting for the older style cloth headliner/bows over the single piece cardboard one because quite frankly I never cared for the cardboard one. Plus, shipping was a lot cheaper for the cloth...
