I "think" I remember seeing that the early 340 manifold would work on the drivers side IF it was angle milled. Others may have experience doing this, mine was from a magazine article way back when... good luck and we'd love to see pictures!

It looks good! I've seen and done worse...and that was when I was cutting a piece of metal...

pictures would help... if the floor pan is higher than original, it would be easier to tuck exhaust under the car if it is lowered.
