    zinc oil useage?

Mobil1 0W40 used to be my go-to choice, problem is they changed the formation in May of 2022 and dropped the phosphorus to 900 and the zinc to 1000. https://www.mobil.com/lubricants/-/media/project/wep/mobil/mobil-row-us-1/pdf/emsga-mobil1productguide-v2-9-1-22.pdf Those numbers aren't too...

    zinc oil useage?

This is a thread about engine oil, there's no room for proof or evidence here. Seriously though, I don't know about zinc (ZDDP) costing power, we're talking about 800 ppm probably being too low for a flat tappet engine and 2200 ppm probably being too high to run consistently. That's...

What do you think of this plug?

I see many opinions here, but I haven't yet heard anyone say that NGK sucks. I think I'm going to give them a try and see what happens. FYI, I have only ever run Champions and they have worked just fine for me.

challengergary, the fuel prices are the reason I bought a 6 cylinder wagon (F*rd). I needed my vintage car fix but couldn't live with the 11 mpg I get in the Swinger (I get about 20 mpg in the Wagon). dart64gt, you just described my dream car. I'm a huge fan of the vintage wagon (especially...

    Something different Building for MPG.

Safety cages, side impact beams, and electronic accessories. That's where all the weight is coming from. I heard a stat some time about 10 - 15 years ago that the average new car contains 21 miles of wire. And that's an old number... I'd bet the average car in 2008 have even more. I think my...

    Something different Building for MPG.

I thought about doing an electric conversion to the Falcon. I'm not too concerned about performance in that car and I don't mind cutting up a Ford. The problem is it's just not cost effective right now. I'm sure in a few years once the technology evolves this type of thing will be a viable...
