I think the doors were made with thinner metal. The bumpers were made that way.

In Bob Tarozzi’s notes from designing the cars, he just lists those parts like they were off the shelf nothing special. I think the mirror block off has an 25xxxx part number??? So that originates to 1964-1965. The second digit is typically the year it was first used (intended to use).
