    NOS can differ from Factory Assembly-Line Installed. For a reproduction part, good assembly line take offs should also be examined. Tom said his tailpipe was "stock" off his 69 340 (Barracuda). So I'm taking that as an original assembly-line part, taken off.

    I did that same switch, but had stock 340 exhaust. No issues. The TTI header I use are the same for 67-72 as 73-76 K-members

    TTI has an excellent quality shorty header too. And they sell the headpipes that connect to them too. That can save you money going to a muffler shop for custom headpipes. the stock hipo exhaust manifold come close and snake around stuff too.

    TTI or Dougs headers here’s TTI in my power steering car with a 73-76 V-8 k-frame. the power steering brackets sit way in front of headers. I used the 70-76 power steering hose that went for my Saginaw pump and 70-76 aluminum water pump style pump brackets

    Dynomax turbo’s, 14” IIRC, I have the full TTI headers to tips, 2 1/2”, x-pipe crossover, The mufflers that come with their kits. TTI muffler hangers from Stock dual exhaust chassis mount. I later put TTI stainless tips on it.

    Mufflers have a big impact. Flowmaster 40 is going to sound a lot different than a Dynomax Turbo and does blueprint have different versions of their 408’s with different cams?

    not near the quality of TTI. A guy in our club had a set and had the rewelded once then got second set. and they don’t come with a head pipe flange. And the outlet is in a very tough place that requires a lot of skill and time to make the head pipe flange and head pipe AKA $$$

    This is the 70-71 parts book for tailpipes. It doesn’t show sizes. But it does show what cars shared the same tail pipes It shows: 70 Duster 340 and Swinger 340 without tips as same part number 71 Duster 340, 71 Demon 340, and 70 Swinger 340 with tips all with same part number.

    My Barracuda is an original 340 Formula S car. It is High Performance. I don’t see anywhere in the RTS ads that say full 2 1/4” exhaust Accurate LTD offers 2 1/2” , 2 1/4” and 1 7/8” tailpipe outlets. They don’t say which is OE.

    I don’t believe so from the factory. IIRC they get smaller after the mufflers. Look at the OD of a factory tip.

    67 A body driver side 340 manifold 2.25?

    TTI makes a 2.5" headpipe for that. The 73 drivers upward horn hipo manifold has the same outlet diameter and head port geometry as a 340 '68-'71 hipo drivers manifold. Problem is the passenger side 71-73 340 manifold is log type and smaller outlet diameter.
