    I would go back to AJs post #22 I believe it was and follow thru. Have you ever pulled the gas tank and check for rust/trash/dead bugs and the pick up tube with sock filter? First thing I do with any project. And the line from tank to fuel pump. Metal fuel filters are safer but the plastic...

    Did you spray carb cleaner all around the engine while running to see if RPMs increased??

    I had about a dozen sb and bb six pac cars decades ago, and I had a few carb fires myself, just didn't burn nothing down.. thankfully!!! Like said NOTHING inexpensive about those six pac setups!!!!! Nothing yesterday and probably less likely today!

    Get it on engine, and soak it overnite with a bottle or half bottle of Seal Foam. Yea it will smoke bad when started.

    I have had to weld an extension to the end of the filler neck on some models!!!!! I just did the 62 Dart other day, with ne rubber tank grommet I bet I pull it out and weld an extension to it after I get it running/driving!!!

    Like said, good gears and convertor, makes all the world difference in seat of the pants feeling power. Yes way easier to bolt on a four barrel and great to hear the other barrels kick in. No doubt, vac. advance will make some difference.
