^^^^Very commonto run different height and width tires front to back. The '70 AAR Cuda and TA Challengers from factory ran different tires.

I like the tire height of the 70 series.

If it was not 112 degrees I would go out and pull a dog dish cap off the Toad and measure,...but....I was thinking nothing came with that smaller dog cap until what was it 68?? BUT I am wrong about the same amount of time I am right. My Toad is original down to the hubcaps. Its HOT!

My 62 Lancer takes the larger dog dish, BUT it has 13 inch wheels!!!!

I'm cheap. I run OM steel wheels on everything. You could say I splurge but those dog dish caps, came on the the cars!!!! Screw buying some nice wheels!!!

People tend to put wider tires on wheels than what they are designed for.

MY brand of tire is called "may pop" But it makes a difference if driving thru rural country or mad insane populated traffic areas!

From about 2000 to 2017, before I moved to Tx from Missouri, I drove 60 mi. a day to work on nothing but used old tires. No flats and never blew a tire. But I was running the MO back roads maybe 60 mph tops in an old Mopar Duster!!!

Choice of wheels/tires is like choice of car color. Just don't give me pink cars and 20 inch rims and pimpin tires!!! lol

The mag up front is a period thing, look at old photos. These are Volare but again I have used this many times and I like it. But I also like mags on all 4 corners and steelies all around too!

I bought a couple of cheap WallyWorldtires for sapes. Yep they were cheap $$$$. So I take them to the local tire shop, the one and only, good guy, speaks a little English, I only know the bad Spanish words, but anyway. He is trying to tell how just how soft the sidewalls are. Not good...

I have a set of the old sawtooth mags that were rusted, bad chrome, so I just cleaned them with wire cup and acid, sprayed them with epoxy primer and satin black, look pretty good!!!! I can se them for spares or whatever!

Back in the day, 95% of the time that new muscle (ish) car arrived with hubcaps and the owner then bought a set of mags for it!!!

I have used Cooper Tires for 40 years, Just bought a pair of smaller ones for the Volare. They cost a few $ more than Wally but I supported the local small town tire store.

Can you spot me $300 for some 8 inch rims!!????? ha . I don't any more in 4 tires a 2 new rims than I have in the entire Volare Roadrunner!!!!!! That ain't hemi Cudas ya know!
