Aluminum water pump for 1969 340

Another thing I have found with aluminum 1970 + pumps, on 63-66 A bodies, is you will loose 1 inch of radiator to fan space, which is criticle on some early A Bodie builds. That room is needed for clutch fans. Dave

    another 360/408 over heating

Rod What water pump are you running,???? Their is 1 inch hieght difference between the newer aluminum, long snout (1970 up), and the 1969 back (cast iron) these are shorter. If you have the aluminum 70, and up, and change to the 69, older cast one , you can gain 1 inch clearance. But you will...

    Radiator Hose

I ended up using the Gates # 20875 hose, on the upper pass side of my 69 B-Cuda. It's a pretty good fit and its molded. On the lower hose, I had to use a universal type, (the squigly curly Q kind). My 69 style water pump, has a 1 1/2 in hose end on it, and the #9600 Northern Aluminum Rad, has a...

Where do I put the guage sensor?

Jack Most of the fittings I used were 3/8 NPT. On the hose end I used a 5/8 Barbed male hose end.w/ 3/8 NPT thread. To attach the "T" I used a 3/8 NPT male union, into the manifold, The "T" itself will prab have to have some kind of adopters, to make the new bulb fit. Mine is an LD-340...

Where do I put the guage sensor?

You can use a Brass "T" and screw it in your manifold, letting the heater hose come off the "top", and the gage bulb out the side ( pointed to the rear of the engine). you will have to make sure when you mock it up, that the end of the bulb does not bottom out in the "T", you might have to...
